Little Queen on Craven

Great location especially if you have an event at Maola like we did! It was close to that venue and the fun downtown area! It was walkable but also easy to drive and find parking since it was a little chilly at night to walk. Host is one of the best communicators we have ever had! Both beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked great and living room was comfy and cozy! We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends/family coming to NB!

Little Queen on Craven was the perfect home for two friends seeking a quiet, clean and comfortable place to stay, all within walking distance to the downtown area. An added bonus was enjoying a stay in a historic home, complete with beautiful floors and distinctive architectural details. The host was quick to respond to questions and had the house well stocked with the essentials. We discovered that New Bern is a gem.

The house was exactly as described and extremely clean and well maintained. Because it is an older home, some of the room dimensions are a bit quirky, but that added to the charm. Kelly was very proactive in providing information and responded quickly to questions. Great stay.

While we have stayed in New Bern multiple times at VRBOs, this is our favorite. A very clean, cozy home in a very convenient and safe location. We will be back

First time in New Bern and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location was excellent and we walked around all weekend. Cute home with historic charm. Kelly responded quickly to any questions we had and also allowed us to check in earlier. Highly recommend!

This old house is beautiful. It needs a little more care. Please check appliances to make sure they work. Need to re paint the baseboard going up the stairs. We loved it here.

Super cute place! We loved all the character inside the home and the modern amenities. Very clean. Kitchen had plenty of silverware, plates, etc. Quick walk into town. We had a most wonderful visit.

Cute house, clean and very easy!

It was a fantastic stay! Neither of the three ladies who stayed had visited New Bern before; being NC natives, we wanted to see the first state capital and the town. We first took a trolley tour of the city and got an overview of the history. Next we took a tour of Tryon Palace. Great choices! But our house, Little Queen, was the best! Built in 1814, it was beautifully restored. Two beautiful bedrooms and a large futon in the downstairs living area gave all three of us private sleeping areas. It was wonderful, and we hope to return someday!

A few of us met to do the Neuse River Bridge run. The little queen cottage was perfect! Excellent location, excellent space inside the home and perfectly appointed. The bedrooms were much larger than the pictures show, we were pleasantly surprised! We all loved our stay and can’t wait to gather in New Bern again at this same house. The host was informative, welcoming and kind.

My husband and I traveled with our 15 year old daughter to visit relatives in New Bern and we stayed at this property for 4 nights. When we first walked into the home, it is overwhelming to see all the quirks of an 1814 build and think of all the people who have lived there and many events that have occurred. The home was very clean and provided all the essentials we needed. The owners were responsive and great to work with. We highly recommend this property!

I was in town alone to visit a friend who lives nearby. The house is adorable, very bright and sunny and comfortable!

We planned to visit our son who is stationed close by, we ended up having a few of his Marine buddies show up after hearing there would be home cooking for dinner. The kitchen was great, allowing us to make a big meal. Has pretty much everything you need. “This house feels like home” several of them said while eating. Clean, beautifully decorated and safe. Bathrooms clean, stocked and lovely decor. Bedrooms were the same, lovely. My son had his room and we had the other but if you have a larger family you could easily use the pullout couch - we didn’t need it but it was available. Don’t let the 2 bedrooms scare you off, this home is nice and roomy while being cozy. It was a much needed pleasant stay in a lovely little area.

What a cute little historic home in New Bern! Such a great location with excellent walkability to everything you would want to see and do in NB! We had everything we needed and the owner was super responsive throughout the entire process. Highly recommend! It was perfect for our family of 4 and can easily sleep more with the pull out couch options.

This gorgeous cottage really sets the mood for taking in the history of the town. Like others mentioned, the immaculate cleanliness of the home was the best I've seen and it can't be easy with all of the quirky historic architectural details! For a young family I think the walk ability was not perfect, but for the average adult it's totally doable! We would definitely stay again.

Weekend trip to New Bern was perfect with his cottage walking distance to downtown area. Very nice accommodations with everything you need plus!
