Lighthouse Point

We really enjoyed our stay! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the overlook at the top of the home was priceless. The game room provided plenty of entertainment, and the living spaces comfortably accommodated us. The BBQ pit worked great, and the short walk to the working lighthouse and rocky beach area was incredibly convenient. The home is well stocked for families, with plenty of kids toys and games, along with a kitchen that had everything we needed.The reason for 4 stars is that the property needs some updating. The carpet has noticeable stains throughout, the downstairs bathrooms could have been cleaner, one TV, there was a persistent trash odor in the game room and the washing machine was so dirty it could not be used until we deep cleaned it. We were also a bit confused upon arrival because the listing photos make it appear as though the entire property is one standalone home. In reality, there are two additional homes: one is directly attached to this rental, and another sits closest to the coastline—which we initially believed was part of the rental based on the photos. This, along with the frequent reminders about grumpy neighbors, created a less-than-ideal first impression.That said, once we got settled in, we were able to appreciate everything the property has to offer. The location, views, family-friendly amenities, and spacious gathering areas made for a memorable stay. With some updates and a little more attention to cleanliness, it'd be 5 stars.

We LOVED this property! It was such a relaxing, refreshing, and adventurous trip. The house has spectacular views and a fun setup. We loved the arcade games and ping pong. The area is wonderful to explore! Thanks for the experience! The whole family wants to come back! Hope we get a chance!!

Amazing views! Close to everything!

We really wanted to like this place but it is grossly misrepresented in the listing. It is very old and worn. There is a musty, old odor that hits you as soon as you walk in the door. The carpet and furniture are old and are in dire need of updating. The views are amazing, but unfortunately every window you look out has the neighbors looking in. There is no privacy unless you close the blinds but one of the master bedroom blinds is broken and doesn’t close completely. There is no beach access due to the grumpy neighbors so even though it’s right on the water you have to walk down the street to access the beach. And speaking of the grumpy neighbors…there are rules in place to keep them happy so beware of that. Of course you don’t learn any of those details until you’ve already booked because none of it is disclosed in the listing. The arcade is in a dirty garage that shares the space with the next door rental. The listing photos are very strategically taken. Thankfully the bed was comfortable or we would have found another place to stay.

The house was clean, well equipped, the views were beautiful. The walk to the beach was 1000ft away. The hot tub was a nice feature and being able to go home with clean laundry was nice. The beds were comfy and the water pressure in the showers was powerful.

This house had everything we needed and was the perfect base for our adventures in the Redwoods. Spectacular views and excellent amenities!

House is a bit worn

We loved this house. It was very clean, easy to get to and exactly as the pictures showed. Communication was great! Check in and out was very easy. We truly enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this house to anyone.

The house was clean and comfortable with excellent ocean views, house was fully stocked with all your needs, kitchen ceiling has water leaks when it rains in need of repair

The view was incredible and spending Christmas here was wonderful. We had a great time. The house is spaced out nice and the kids enjoyed the game room.

Beautiful house and views!

Spectacular home and location. Award winning sunrise and sunsets can be seen here. The house is spacious and beautifully furnished. Can accommodate large families or a large group. One of the best views EVER from the kitchen window....will make you want to wash dishes. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds.

The views from the home were amazing-well worth the stay. The home was clean and nice, but could use some updating. Carpet needs replacing.

unbelievable views of the ocean and lighthouse

The location of this place is fantastic, right along the coast and near the lighthouse. This makes for great views, especially with the cupola with the telescope up top. We also loved having a hot tub, and there was plenty of room for our family. The game room was a nice bonus too. The main down side to the property is that the house is old, and much of it has not been updated recently. But that being said, most everything worked fine. There were a few blinds in the upstairs bedroom that don't fully work but they could still be lowered to provide privacy. It would also be nice if there were direct access down to the beach, but because of the adjacent properties you have to walk around to it, but still only 5 minutes or less. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay! Everything we needed was provided, including games and activities for our young children. It was a perfect for our family.

Our check in was effortless , we had no problems with anything. The kitchen was fabulous. It was spacious and fully stocked with any dish or utensil needed .This is definitely my dream kitchen.

Amazing views!

It was close to grocery stores, coffee, and restaurants. There was plenty of space for my family to relax. The hot tub was amazing since it was so cold there. The lighthouse noise/light was annoying, but the house more than made up for that.

We had such a great time at this beautiful hole. It was clean, had all the amenities and was right next to the beach! I highly recommend!

House was great. Sadly we tried to ask to change dates and got no communication from homeowner. Also the upstairs shower is extremely loud and will wake up whole house. No a pleasant shower.

Our multigenerational group enjoyed our stay despite a day of very heavy rain. The house has fantastic views of the ocean and various Redwood locations were short drives away. The children thoroughly enjoyed the game room and the cupola with the telescope. Our family just had a delightful stay.

The location is spectacular with the ocean just outside and Redwood Parks a short drive away. The host's instructions and information were perfect and clear. Everything we needed was thoughtfully furnished, nothing missing. We were very comfortable and have great memories of time with the kids and grandkids. If you stay here, you will appreciate our delight with a roaring storm the night we arrived and ocean and redwoods experience we will remember!

The location and views are amazing, the cleanliness not so great in the the two downstairs bedrooms. Some old carpet was a bummer to see...The kitchen was leaking when we got there and some not pleasant smells. The game room is awesome. But the views and wlakm tot he lighthouse are amazing.

My family (my husband and me plus four 20-something children) spent the week of Christmas here. Best. Vacation. Ever. This house was perfect for the 6 of us. Plenty of room to be together or not. Well equipped kitchen that allowed us to cook for ourselves (I easily managed a rib roast and homemade pies for Christmas dinner here because there were roasting pans, pie plates, and even a pastry blender already there!) The sight and sound of the ocean is healing and it is everywhere. Pictures don’t do this justice. I was worried when a storm blew in that we wouldn’t feel safe but this old house didn’t budge in the wind. We enjoyed playing games, hot-tubbing between rain drops, visiting various shops in town, exploring tide pools, and hiking in the redwoods forest. If you are looking for a place to unfrazzle, this is it.

Family had a great time. Great view. Awesome location for what we had planned to do. Officer was nice and helpful. The raccoon gentleman was nice to talk to. Gave us good places to visit. Kids loved the hot tub and toys. They also loved the stairs..
