Stayed Jun 22, 2024A peaceful location in the middle of a vineyard but a good base location for visiting places in the region. Gilles was very helpful in recommending places to go and markets to visit. Clear instructions on how to run the house. The house was clean, cool and plenty of room. The kitchen well equipped. WiFi good. The supply of wine was excellent!

Stayed Dec 5, 2022The house provides everything you need. It is located in a wine yard, quiet but though, very close to the town. We had a great time. Highly recommend that place. Thank you Gilles

Stayed Jun 15, 2019We previously stayed at the neighboring house, La Romance, and had a fantastic 2 weeks and so had high expectations of La Baranier. The property did not disappoint! Lovely, modern interior with all the utensils, crockery etc an extnded family could need. Easy access to shops and the boulangerie in the town (10 minute walk) and within an hour's drive of Avignon, Nimes and 1 hour 45 to the coast near Montpellier. Once again, Gilles was a superb host and provided his excellent wine. We thoroughly recommend both la Romance or La Baranier to anyone looking for a holiday in the Gard.

Stayed Jun 9, 2018Our two week holiday was fabulous. The house and surrounds were beautiful and spacious enough for two families with two young toddlers. The location could not be any better with major sights to see all within a 40 minute drive and huge supermarkets on the outside of the nearby village. The pool was a little chilly when the wind picked up but that is the Mistral for you. Thank you Gilles for a wonderful holiday.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is the second consecutive year myself and my husband have rented this beautiful villa for ourselves and our, 2 German Shepherd dogs, for 2 weeks in September each year and have had two of our best every holidays here. The villa is located in the middle of La Romance vineyard which is a very quiet and beautiful location and ideal for walking our dogs. The wine produced by La Romance vineyard is some of the best in the region, so be sure to try some while you are staying here!!! However, the villa is also ideally located very close to Bagnols sur Ceze, La Roque sur Ceze and Goudargues, where there are a whole host of fantastic restaurants, shops and other facilities. The villa itself is very spacious and has been renovated beautifully with a mixture of contemporary and traditional features, which work so well. Giles's ( the owner's) attention to detail ensures that the the villa is always maintained to the highest possible standard. The villa is extremely well equipped with a modern kitchen, a large dining area, a lovely lounge area and 5 very spacious double bedrooms and 3 contemporarily decorated bathrooms, so it would easily accommodate 10 people and would work for more than one family or several couples as there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor and 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms at first floor level. Outside there is a good sized covered terrace and a large well maintained pool and garden area both of which are fully and separately enclosed, so great for us with our dogs and for families wanting to stay here with young children. Giles, the owner could not be more welcoming and does everything he possibly can do to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Thank you Giles for helping to make our stays at the Le Baranier two of our best holidays ever. As a result we have already booked to stay here again next year for 2 weeks in September!!! We would highly recommend this villa, so if you are considering booking it, give it a try, you will not be disappointed!!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a nice vacation in this house with 5 adults and 1 child (1 year old). Large house with 5 big bedrooms (all aircontioned). Beautiful bathrooms. However we had a few remarks. The kitchen was not well enough equiped. The materials used were not great quality (ikea). At the pool the chairs and sunscreen were not heavy enough to stand the wind. It is a new house (2nd season) so it lacked the france charm. Great surroundings and views over the wineyards. Calm at night. The house is suitable for little children because of the fence between the house and the pool.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a fantastic stay at Gilles' house. This is a old farm (called mas in South of France) freshly renovated with quality materials and lovely taste. Everything is new and very comfortable. Enough room for 10 without any problem. We were a group of friends who stayed in this place for New Year break and everyone enjoyed the house. I really liked also the kitchen with its large cooking range and all the necessary equipment you need to cook for a large group. Italian style rain showers is a detail many of us really loved. Rooms were nice too with high quality mattress. We could not use the terrace neither the pool obviously at that time of the year, but I will love to return spring of summer time for a BBQ party, enjoying the beautiful vineyard view. Very peaceful place. We appreciated too the very warm welcome from the owner who is by the way doing an excellent Côte du Rhône that I highly recommend for your stay or even to bring back home. In other words, a perfect place. We will return for sure!
