This was a perfect house for our two families. The pool is just wonderful and so well kept. We ate daily outside on the lovely terrace. The kitchen has everything you need, and more. Having two fridges was a bonus. There was plenty of hot water for our group of seven. The location was great for day trips out without long drives. Avignon is well worth a visit. There is lots of amazing canoeing nearby which we took advantage of, and some very lovely caves. There are plenty of pretty villages to enjoy a meal out, too. Thank you to our host and family. We will definitely return. villages.

Lovely property, beautifully maintained and with a fabulous swimming pool. The kitchen is well equipped and the aircon works well in all rooms. Giles and his father were super helpful throughout our stay, even brining us delicious fresh figs. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

This is the third time we've stayed at one of Gilles properties and, as always, everything was fantastic. Our extended family (5 adults, primary school age children) had a wonderful two weeks at the house which is very well equipped, in a great location within easy reach of Orange, Avignon, Nimes as well as close to the motorway network for travel. We continue to have no hesitation recommending Gilles and his excellent properties.

The property is very comfortable and well equiped. Was clean and nicely decorated. The host was very attentive always responding to any need. It is hard to find upon our arrival as is sorrounded by wineyards but exactly what we were looking for a peaceful setting in touch with nature. Thank you Gilles and your father for a superb stay. Highly recommended.

A beautiful house, with great facilities (especially the pool) in the vineyards. The local wine is lovely, particularly frlmt he owners vineyard. A great property for kids with a pool fence and lawn for them to play on.

We stayed as an extended family for 2 weeks in June (between 4 and 6 adults at any one time and a 20 month old baby) and had a wonderful time here. La Romance is completed to a high specification with plenty of space indoors and outside for large groups or families to enjoy. Gilles was on-hand to resolve any issues we had and to provide additional cases of his superb wine (available in cases in the house on a 'tab' basis). The pool is fenced in, which was a great bonus for us with a small toddler and meant that the whole downstairs was safe and accessible for them to run about and enjoy. Each room is individually air conditioned, a must in southern France in summer and the internet was reasonably fast (enough to stream TV etc) although the WiFi signal is weak in some parts of the stone built property (which is to be expected). The house is approx. 1 km from the nearest bakery (20 minute walk/5-10 minute run or jog) and in the middle of Gilles vineyards. The degustation at Gilles' parents house is well worth doing, and 2 of our party also booked on to the wine and food pairing evening which they thoroughly enjoyed. Avignon, Orange, the Pont du Gard and Nimes can all be reached in approx 1 hour by road, Bagnols-sur-Ceze has an SNCF train station on 'this' side of the town and a full hospital is also available in the town should any emergencies arise. The full complement of supermarkets are available in Bagnols meaning, if you don't want to, you don't have to travel far for anything. We would highly recommend La Romance (and any property owned/run by Gilles) for families with young childre or larger groups wanting to spend a peaceful time but in easy reach or larger cities or sites for day trips. Thank you for a wonderful holiday Gilles!

We were so nicely welcomed and given great advice about our stay. The actual property was ideal and the location was perfect. All the rooms in the property were spacious with plenty of storage with extra storage areas in the hallway and utility/fridge area. The kitchen was nicely open plan to the dining area but also had a door to the outside so easy to take food/drinks to the outside table where we ate the majority of our meals. The pool was a good size and ideal for all of the various ages in our party - also good to have had loungers for us all. We really enjoyed most evenings having a BBQ and eating/playing games round the outside table. We had some great days out kayaking in the Ardeche, taking the younger boys on the steam railway, going to the water park near Avignon and visiting towns. Bagnols sur Ceze is beautiful with a lovely Wednesday morning market. Also there were plenty of supermarkets nearby and a delicious boulangerie. We all had such a fantastic holiday and will definitely revisit and it really is a beautiful part of France.

La Romance was easy to find and sat amongst vine yards with a panoramic view of the surrounding area. The house was spacious and spotlessly clean with excellent facilities. The two bedrooms and bathroom downstairs were fully accessible for someone in a wheelchair or using a walking aid as was the covered terrace leading from the kitchen and dining area to the garden. We ate outside on the terrace admiring the view most evenings. The owner was welcoming and extremely helpful and the wine from La Romance was excellent. I would definitely recommend the villa to friends. We have already booked to return this year. The area is picturesque with good river swimming and large country markets, shops and restaurants only a short car journey away. Susan Hain
