Stayed Aug 10, 2025Our first visit to Colorado couldn’t have been more perfect—we’re so glad we chose this charming historic cabin in Estes Park. Our family of five loved the cozy character, the peaceful location, and especially the deck with its breathtaking mountain views. Evenings spent stargazing were magical, and we all agreed we wish we could have stayed longer. A truly memorable stay!

Stayed Jul 15, 2024This place was exactly what we were looking for. The house was located close enough to the town but still had a view from the porch. It is in a neighborhood but we never heard much around us and still got to see some wildlife. The road leading up to the house was a little rough but its a short distance. Inside the house there are 7 'beds' depending on how you view it. The master bedroom has a queen, a full (I think) with a trundle, and a twin. There is plenty of space for all of them but you dont get any privacy from each other. There is a small room with a futon, and there is a day bed with a trundle in a common room. The only downside to that room was that neither bathroom can be accessed through the common rooms, you have to go through the bedrooms. I personally felt like the property was well stocked with everything you would need. However I could have done without all of the passive aggressive notes every where. All in all this place really was perfect for a week away to spend some time with family.

Stayed Oct 1, 2020This property has the character, charm, location, cleanliness and views that make a mountain home perfect! We loved the porch, spacious master suite, swing for our 6 year old, and the proximity to great restaurants and RMNP. The hosts were communicative and accommodating. We hope to stay here again soon!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Larkspur Retreat was perfect for what we needed - a place that was big enough for the four of us, that was hidden away, with beautiful views and a place of relaxation. Did not personally work with anyone - all by email.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This house was a true gem. Perfectly situated at the entrance of the national park, with a fantastic view of the mountains (including Longs Peak) from throughout the home. The house was classic with original windows and built-ins, with an addition in the back of the home where the main bedroom was (also has a picture window view of the mountains). My wife in particular loved learning about the history of the home through the pictures and mementoes and written descriptions provided. The cabin was tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well supplied for us to enjoy cooking at our vacation home and we ended up enjoying each of our meals there at the cabin. I'll certainly hope to stay here again if I'm able to visit Estes Park in the future.

Stayed Sep 13, 2019We thoroughly loved it at the cabin on Larkspur Road and we hope to stay there again. The history of the cabin was wonderful to read about and be a part of for the days that we were there. We enjoyed the way the cabin was built and all of the little storage areas, old books and dishes were delightful! It was very refreshing in this fast-paced, busy world to enjoy what is truly real and important. Thank-you for sharing this wonderful cabin!!!

Stayed Aug 4, 2019This property left us speechless! What an amazing historic family home with breath-taking views and many modern conveniences. We could have sat on the deck overlooking Longs Peak all day and night. So full of sunshine during the day, twinkling starts at night, and amazing views. Superbly maintained and comfortable. Conveniently located to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and a grocery store right down the road. We will definitely be back! What a privilege to stay here.

Stayed Jul 23, 2019Very charming cabin built in 1924 yet with all modern amenities. Very quiet neighbourhood with wild surroundings visited by Elk and other wildlife. And magestic view on Longs Peal In RMNP. We share owners love of the land and will miss playing croquet!
