On the day of our attempted early check-in, the host informed us (only after we reached out) that the home was still undergoing renovations, particularly the bathrooms. This was not mentioned anywhere in the Vrbo listing. The host described one bathroom as looking “wretched” and messy with the tub area, and the downstairs bathroom as only about 90% complete — missing baseboards and even the bathroom door.We decided not to stay due to the incomplete condition and lack of prior disclosure. The host agreed to a full refund, but we have only received a partial amount to date, and further communication has stopped.This was disappointing for a property advertised as ready for guests. We would not book with this host again.
