Stayed Oct 24, 2025This house was fantastic. Great location, great amenities, and very comfortable. Everyone in our party agreed it was a great find. Just note that you can park 3-4 cars on site, and any additional need to park on the street about a block away. This was no issue for us, but I didn't know that until the day before and we had 6 cars. We would 100% stay here again (and most likely will!)

Stayed Sep 28, 2025It was our 13th Cousins reunion with ten of us from Minnesota, Texas and California. There was plenty of space and walkable for groceries and shopping. We took daily trips into Door County but liked coming back to peaceful Algoma. The Von Stiehl Winery was a nice surprise and we enjoyed happy hour in the Nest. Three walk-in showers were great for folks our age. (We got a very prompt response to an issue with the garage door!!) Would highly recommend.

Stayed Aug 1, 2025We had a wonderful time staying at the house. The views to the water are lovely and peaceful from the decks and it is a short walk to the downtown area and Crescent Beach, which is a beautiful beach. The kitchen had everything we needed. The game room was super fun and the kids loved playing foosball and the small room with the bunk beds. Everything was clean and well-cared for. Having two fridges was nice for our group as well as the many bathrooms and storage. We enjoyed the bike trails and went cherry picking just a ten minute drive up the road and bought some great local produce. We would have been happy to stay much longer. Would definitely come back!

Stayed Jun 23, 2025We rented this property for our annual summer family trip. Three generations of family, 11 people total. The house was clean and comfortable and well-equipped for a big group. Plenty of utensils, plates, and kitchen equipment to prepare and eat most of our meals there. The multi-level deck had ample seating, and we usually hung out there in the mornings and watched the fishing boats come back in. The birds nest area was fun to play games in and offered great views of the sunrises and sunsets. The house is in a great location. Easy to walk to the large public beach and to the grocery store, coffee shops, and art studios in Algoma. It's easy to check out activities in Door County from Algoma, so we drove all around during the week we were there. I recommend booking a fishing charter while in Algoma. We did a 5 hour fishing trip and caught 17 fish! My nephews said it was the highlight of the trip for them.

Stayed Nov 25, 2024This home is perfect for multiple families coming together to celebrate together. We flew up from Virginia to meet up with our Wisconsin family and spend Thanksgiving together. House is clean, updates, beautiful location!! Both Kitchens are fully stocked, there is plenty of cookware, plates etc!! Two fridges made for plenty of storage even for the turkey!! Now if you could do something about the “feels like 1degree” Wisconsin weather we will definitely come back next Thanksgiving!! lol!! Algoma was a lovely town in the lake and loved the Von Stiehl winery a quick walk from the house!!

Stayed Sep 20, 2024The house is absolutely beautiful, and it is in the perfect location to walk the main areas in Algoma. Also, it was great to have all of the kitchen tools to make our meals, even crockpots. The views from the “Nest” were spectacular. It was very hard leaving this house. We will definitely be staying again.

Stayed Aug 9, 2024Absolutely beautiful home in quaint Algoma Wisconsin. Enjoyed an extended weekend with the family and I don’t believe the homes discrimination does it justice. The home is clean, with brand new items. A perfect place to sit back relax, go to the beach, enjoy the local establishments and us the kayaks in the home. We were lucky and booked in the weekend of Shanty Day. Awesome time and Sunday night fireworks were an added bonus. This is a great location with a lot to do. Top 3 VRBO that I have stayed at. Hopefully we will be able to return. Thanks for the great stay.

Stayed Jul 24, 2024This was the absolute perfect property for our family celebrating my mom's 80th birthday. 4 nights was the perfect amount of time. My mom uses a walker and the house had railings and ramps to ease her with that. The winery was a short enough walk for her to do and was lovely. Algoma is away from the hustle and bustle of Door County, but still charming. We loved watching the fishing charters coming and going. People were very friendly and the bakery across the street was delightful.

Stayed Jun 17, 2024We loved the home and all of the amenities, however, anyone who is considering bringing a boat or Angling in Algoma needs to consider several items. Zero options for parking a boat or trailer. We were talked to by cops and the marina several times, because the home had no options for pickup parking (and they all told us conflicting things). There are only three spots for the rental and not one of our pickups fit in one of their parking spots. The dock on the property was not equipped to handle our boat. Unless you dock a yacht, you will need more than your bumpers. Our 26 foot HewesCraft didn't work for reference. We had to visit the local hardware store (in Sturgeon Bay) to make stoppers to guarantee the dock and boat wouldn't be ruined. If you are looking to enjoy any sun on the decks it only happens in the morning. The afternoon sun is only visible through the garage, where we ate dinner on several occasions, not ideal. Very fun to walk around a bit in Algoma and the home was comfortable overall. If you are coming for a weekend away and not fishing, you will be good to go!
