Please note that we are on the third story of the apartment building, and it is not handicap accessible. If you are unable to take the stairs, you may want to consider booking somewhere that is. :)

Algoma, Wisconsin is a quaint community nestled on the western shore of Lake Michigan at the southern end of the Door Peninsula. Come and take the Charter fishing trip of a lifetime on Lake Michigan, stroll the beautiful sand beach and boardwalk, relax with a glass of wine from a historic winery or spend the day shopping and sightseeing. There is something for everyone!

No matter what you plan to enjoy in Northeast Wisconsin, Algoma is the ideal place to call home base. You can enjoy the peace and quiet and all that Algoma offers while being just a short drive away from Door County to the north, Scenic HWY 42 to the south, and Green Bay to the west.

The property does have a parking lot with one designated parking space per unit. For example if you are staying in unit 3, you will be designated parking spot number 3. If you have more than one of car, there is additional parking on the road or at the park down the street.

To access Unit 3 you will want to enter through the door with the side lights which is accessed and visible from the parking lot. You will go up the stairs on your right all the way to the top of the stairs. Unit 3 will be the first door to your right on the third story.

Opening the front door you will find the floors to have all new luxury vinyl flooring and tastefully decorated. In the kitchen I have added a dining room table which includes 4 chairs.

Through the kitchen the room opens to the living room. I have chosen the seating arrangement to be conversational and inviting. This includes an 84” sleeper futon couch, relaxing furniture, board games, variety of books and a large smart TV. The living room has a door that leads out to the fire escape platform. Note: There is also an AC window unit located in the living room. If the temperature is hot outside, I recommend to turn the AC unit on when you check in so you can cool the suite off while your outside enjoying the town!

As you stand in the middle of the kitchen and living room areas this will show you the bathroom and both bedrooms. The bathroom is fully renovated which includes a tub/tiled shower and beautifully designed tile floor. Each bedroom is furnished with a queen bed. Note: The bedroom to the right has a locked barn door. Inside the locked door are extra supplies for our cleaners. The bedroom to the left has plenty of hangers for everyone to utilize.

We began renovations on this property in May 2022. I take great care in designing properties specifically with relaxation in mind and can't wait for you to relax and enjoy this property that is within walking distance to everything in Algoma!

Each unit has 1 parking spot in the parking lot. The parking spot has each unit number listed on the pavement. There is free parking anywhere on the side of streets and at the park across the street. The Steele Magnolia is directly walking/biking distance to everything in Algoma, from being across the street from Von Stiehl Winery, Von Stiehl Cider Bar, Anaphee Brewery, Smashed on the Rocks, charter fishing, downtown shopping and food, and the beautiful sand beach and boardwalk.

This property is a 9-unit apartment building. We do have other long-term renters in the building in units 7 & 9.

Laundry:
We do not have any washer and dryer hookups however we are lucky enough to have a laundry mat right next door!

Bugs:
Even though we have sprayed inside and outside twice a year, we are by the water! You can expect to see a few insects here and there.

Door lock: Just a hint on the door code, if you touch it to light it up that will count as the first number. Try to touch the first number of the code you were given followed by the remaining 3 numbers. The numbers are in the same location as a phone key pad.

    We really enjoyed how cute it was and close to the water!! Only negative if there was one was the three stories with steps!! Lol. Of you are on the third level but it was still very nice!! Liked the bottle of wine on table and bottled water and all the coffee selections! Toiletries were great too!!

    Algoma is a little quiet jewel right next to Door County. Crescent Beach (about 2 blocks from the apartment) rivals any of the public beaches north a of here. The apartment was very clean, location downtown meant lots of access to restaurants. Communication was prompt and helpful! Kitchen well stocked. Generous with supplies including ziplocks!. Ahnapee State Trail head about 6 blocks away.

    This is a super cute, well-renovated property in an older apartment building. The owner made check-in very easy with very specific instructions, so we had no trouble getting in. The kitchen is small but well equipped and has everything you need except a dishwasher, which is not a problem most likely since you won't have a large number of people staying here. It was the perfect size for my daughter and I, and we didn't mind washing a few dishes. Wi-Fi worked well so I could get some work done in the evenings after spending the days exploring Door County and Green Bay, with Algoma being a perfect half-way point between the two. There is no elevator in this building so ability to navigate stairs is a must, but we were on the 3rd floor and it was no problem getting up the short flights of stairs.

    Perfect VRBO! Very well decorated and the space was perfect/ loved being right downtown Algoma but also having lake views. The rental was just as described in the listing and we will definitely be back soon!
