Lakefront Retreat w/ Views, Near Mammoth Cave!

Lovely house and owners very responsive to any issues. Dock access was challenging.

There were 6 of us staying at Cub Run. The house was nice, good beds for all. We initially planned on 8 adults, and it could have slept 1-2 more. We were not informed ahead of time about no water/ice available from the fridge due to a leak that had not been repaired (caused warping in the wood floor in kitchen). We would have liked to have known so we could buy ice and more waters on the way in. Lake was nice, we spent a day on the water. It's about 100 steps down to the dock. we took our own pool noodles and floats.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful lakefront VRBO! The house accommodated our party of 6 very well. The kids loved the loft upstairs. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The peaceful lake views from the deck were breathtaking, and we loved spending our mornings sipping coffee while watching the sunrise over the water.The location was perfect—just a short drive and ferry ride to Mammoth Cave National Park, making it easy to explore the incredible caves and hiking trails. We really got a lot of use out of the bag set on the below deck.

We had a nice time during our stay. The house check in process was easy and straight forward. The roads to get there were a little bit challenging to drive if unfamiliar with the area. The house was on a beautiful lake, however, the fishing advertised, was unavailable due to the high water of the lake and the doc under water. In addition, on the last day, we did find a cockroach in the clothes of our children up in the loft area.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lakehouse in Mammoth Cave, KY, and it was truly a memorable experience. The serene surroundings, coupled with the stunning views of the lake, made it an ideal retreat for relaxation and nature lovers alike.The house itself was spacious, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. We particularly enjoyed the cozy living area and the well-equipped kitchen, which made our stay very comfortable. The outdoor area was a highlight, with ample seating to enjoy the scenery and the peacefulness of the lake.However, we do have a couple of suggestions that could enhance the overall experience for future guests. The lighting in the dining area could be improved, as it felt a bit dim during our evening meals. Additionally, adding pantry storage along the wall in the dining area would be a fantastic improvement, providing extra space for food and kitchen essentials.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lakehouse and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway. With a few minor improvements, it would be a perfect 5-star experience!

My family and I spent Thanksgiving together in this wonderful home. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of room for the 7 adults and 2 children. The kids loved the loft and the basement was a great place to curl up and watch a movie. I’m sure it’s even more fabulous in the summer with the lake. We had a great time.

Nice property off the beaten path. Secluded and quiet. Enjoyed the deck and view of the lake. Couple minor issues with the house the main one being the toilet. We had a log jam every day if our stay. this never happens back home but the toilets in this house just need replaced. If u don't want to plunge in vacation I would rent a different place.

My buddies and I rented this house for a weekend over the summer. The house was perfect. We spent the weekend swimming and fishing. The fishing is really good right off the dock. This is an awesome house. Definitely recommend

The property was perfect for a family getaway. The house was clean and stocked with all the essentials you would need. The 2 big decks were a favorite spot to hang out and watch the sunset. I would absolutely recommend it.
