Lakefront Algoma Home w/ Deck, Grill & Fireplace

I did not receive the door code, and when I arrived, I messaged the host directly with no response. I waited over an hour and messaged them again through VRBO. I then spent the next morning messaging VRBO from home. After a few attempts, VRBO finally got a hold of the host, who then sent me the code a day later. I had already driven back home, 3 hours away by this time, and was not going to pack my family back up. VRBO requested that I solve this matter directly with the host. The host will not reimburse me as they said that they did send the code, which I did not receive. I understand that it could have gotten lost but there is no excuse for them not to respond to me and resend it. This ruined my Christmas plans with my children, and I am beyond disappointed. VRBO has yet to help solve the problem.

Great Girls trip! Did a lot of exploring and beach time and evenings hanging out at the house.

Nice place with a good location. Enjoyed the sun rises over the lake with coffee every morning! There was plenty of room for our family of 7 and we never felt crowded. Algoma had more to offer then what we expected and a very nice home town feel. Nice stay!

Enjoyed your house and the location. Definitely thought it needed a better cleaning - stains and crumbs on the carpets, blood stains on one pillow, cobwebs to name a few. Overall a good stay. Thank you!

This was a perfect spot for our family staff. Lots of space for us to be together, but not on top of each other. We loved the fire pit, the large kitchen table to play board games, and the lovely view from the living room. And we were able to hop over to the beach every evening.

Our stay at the Lakefront Algoma Home was absolutely wonderful! The property was perfect for our family, featuring a spacious deck, a grill, and a cozy fireplace that made our evenings special. The views were breathtaking, and we had a fantastic time enjoying the lakefront. Everything we needed was within reach, and the amenities exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this place for a memorable family getaway!

Great place, roomy, clean, awesome views. There is a spacious backyard, two large sitting areas. The pool table in the loft is nice with barstool seating. If I had the time I would have deep cleaned the grill as it needs some maintenance. It didn’t get very hot for us and took a while to cook on. Highly recommend and will stay here the next time we are in Algoma.

It was very spacious. Enough room for 7 adults to interact together or find spots to do our own things. The view from the great room and the balcony above of the water was amazing. We spent a lot of time sitting in the great room visiting and around the large dining room table eating or playing games. There was a nice size TV in the family room but we never used it. The beds were very comfortable. Could use some dressers and night stands in the bedrooms. Overall very clean, couple of light bulbs out and some cobwebs but nothing that was a turn off cleanliness wise. The description says a step to get in the house and stairs to the second floor but there was a step down from the driveway to patio, two steps up to the back door, and a step up from the great room both to the kitchen and into the dinning room.

The addition of the living area with cathedral ceiling and full wall of windows makes this house truly memorable. The sunrise was stunning! This was a 'reunion' with my college roommate from 50 plus years ago. We each had a lot of space and our own bathrooms. The combination of privacy and conversation was just what I was looking for.As previously noted the house has some maintenance issues that were addressed promptly by the helpful guest contact. These maintenance issues are the reason for my four star rating.

The property was very clean and well taken care of. The View is amazing!

We had a great time. The view was beautiful. There were some cosmetic things that should be attended to and updated. The beds were clean and the checkin and checkout process very easy.

Plenty of room inside with bedrooms for everyone. The king size bed was comfy and the morning view from the second floor was location beautiful. The location was perfect for what we needed. Unfortunately the AC is unable to cool the cottage, it 88 when we arrived and remained in the 80s inside. Also the grass was so long we couldn’t enjoy the lawn or outdoor areas due to the bugs.

Had a great time . Such a great town on the lake.

Great location, nice view, house needs some improvements

A small group of college friends stayed at the house for five days. With three separate common areas indoors, there was plenty of space for our group. The firepit out back allowed us to make a nice fire multiple nights. The house is within walking distance of a store for anything you might have forgotten. There was plenty of space to park our cars. We were within a short drive of a winery and several restaurants. I would stay at this property again.
