Lakefront 4BR ‘Up North’ Outdoor Getaway - Best Sunset View on The Lake

Our group had a lovely two weeks in this home on quiet Lake Waubesa. Stephen is a great host - very responsive regarding questions or concerns.

We had a week here and enjoyed every minute. Love views. Comfortable furniture. The shower is pretty small, but plenty of hot water. The kitchen is very well equipped. The hosts are friendly and the checkout process is very reasonable. Overall a great stay!!!

We visited in late October, early November, so we didn't do much on the lake, but there is a cute park with a playground nearby! The house was clean and accommodating, even had a high chair for our use which was helpful with a 15 month old. We made all our meals in the house and found cooking utensils/dishes to be a little sporadic, but that was our only complaint. Stephen was a wonderful host who communicated clearly and quickly whenever we had questions! The view of the lake is gorgeous!

Stunning views. There were 7 of us (5 adults, one teen and one 12-year old). Living room only seated 5. We had some floor sitters. Large kitchen which was very nice for seating and game playing. The 1.5 bathrooms were more of a bother than I thought they'd be. We had good weather and over all, it was a pleasant stay.

The property was ready for us. Was impressed by cleanliness. The view was great. Very relaxing. McFarland is a cute town. Stoughton only 10 minutes away. Loved it!

The house was the perfect size for our family getaway. We loved the large windows so we could look out onto the lake every day. The outside area allowed us to enjoy the view of the lake when gathering together for conversation or meals.

Nice location for family get together. Stephan is always very responsive and friendly.

The property itself was nice - very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the main room with large windows facing the lake where we could all gather & as weather allowed, it was nice to sit outside [we did have fun making s'mores one night using the fire pit]. The only issue we had was with the quality of the mattresses in the double and queen room -- we older adults had trouble sleeping comfortably. The king room and the bunk beds were comfortable. The kitchen was adequate, but did lack enough pots/pans, sharp knives, to cook any type of fancy meal, but we made do. Overall, I would recommend this home. The host was very responsive and communicative, and helped us novice boat lift users understand how to safely use that equipment.

We had a terrific time at this property. Everything was as advertised. We used the kayaks, the firepit, the dock, and enjoyed the beautiful view. It was also conveniently close to downtown Madison. Would definitely rent again!
