Stayed Jun 4, 2026This place is beautiful, so homey and comfortable. Beds are super comfortable, the lake and view is perfect, so quiet and peaceful. We even saw a bald eagle! It really has everything you need. The owner is great, very good communication. I would come here every year!

Stayed Mar 26, 2026The house was perfect for our purposes. We had a group of 10 guys stay here for a fishing/ socializing trip. Had a wonderful trip caught lots of fish and all the amenities outside were perfect for what we wanted to do. Our host couldn’t have been greater.

Stayed Mar 19, 2026A perfect place to stay for a family vacation. The owners thought of everything. There is a steep incline to the water, but that is common for most properties on Lake Wedowee.

Stayed Sep 4, 2025The Pinewood Retreat was amazing! Exactly as described! Location is perfect and beautiful, the home was very clean and comfortable, exactly what we were looking for a family getaway. Lake wedowee is so clean and the cove the house is in has deep clean water and was very quiet. The dock was easy to get to and the steps on the dock make getting in and out of the lake easy. The beautiful back deck was so nice to sit on with a great view and nice breeze and is shaded much of the day. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved having the grill to cook dinners on. Wedowee isn’t far away and has a Very nice little grocery store if you forget to bring something you need. We loved this home on lake wedowee and plan to visit again, hopefully for a longer stay next year!!

Stayed Aug 16, 2025Very nice property. Quiet get away for family. All essentials provided, clean, comfortable layout to visit and for privacy, soft towels, host easy to contact and lots of family games provided. Beautiful sunsets and amazing hiking near by.

Stayed Oct 13, 2024We loved the location and our stay here. The tv in the master bedroom didnt have sound but we didn’t really mind since we were outside 95% of the time. Our kids loved swimming in the lake, rolling down the front hill & the swing on the large deck. Owner was very easy to communicate with about repairs that needed to be done. Would definitely stay again.
