We had a great stay. Eight adults stayed at the house. We had plenty of room and the house was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen because we like to cook.

Wonderful home, old Michigan feel, with updated kitchen and bathrooms. Magnificent views, fabulous location. We enjoyed the local attractions from the local hot dog stand (The Barrel), to shops and restaurants, Dune Ride and Salmon fishing (caught 7 King Salmon with Capt Eric). Most of all loved relaxing on the beach and watching the sunsets.

This location was incredible. It is close enough to local businesses but far enough off the public area that the private beach access was incredible. There were many beach chairs to use. Watching the sunset off the lower deck is a must. My only complaint is the softness of the king beds - but that is just a personal preference! Great space for a large family vacation! As described in the listing, there are many stairs - but they were far less daunting than the pictures may imply. 100/10 recommend.

The house was very roomy for the 10 of us. The beach was fantastic. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and cooking equipment. The furniture was in good condition.Lots of stairs to get to the house and beach. Not suitable for the disabled. They did warn us about the stairs!

The entire family enjoyed the weekend at the Douglas home. The home was well-suited for our family needs. Plenty of bedrooms and nicely stocked kitchen. The home is very well cared for with new furniture in the family room and recovered cushions and pillows on the porch. Kids and adults alike, had a lot of fun down on the beach! In addition to the beach toys we brought, it was nice to be able to use some of the items the owners had down in the beach house. Thanks for a great weekend! We would rent this property again!

The location was amazing. The property has its own private beach on the shore of Lake MI and has beach toys, floaties, and beach chairs available. The house is a nice size with comfortable beds. It's a rather old property and could be kept up better, but was fine for what we needed. There is no AT&T cell service along the lake in this neighborhood, but the house has WiFi as listed. Bring your own shampoo and bath soap. They do supply hand soap, dish and laundry detergent and abundant towels (for the beach and bathing). We'd return!

Overall the stay was good with our focus on the lake and surrounding area to explore. There was ample sleeping space for 11 people. The bedrooms are fine, older furniture with new mattresses. No need to modify these spaces. The main living space needs the following: new coach and chairs, new kitchen table and chairs, new TV. All of these items are quite dated and, regarding the furniture, dirty/dingy. We spent time around the table with the benches but not the table with the dirty fabric chairs. The indoor/outdoor space off the first floor also needs new cushions on the coach, no one wants to sit on dirty cushions.

The property was just right for us. The owner/property manager was very friendly and greeted us upon our arrival and shared helpful and interesting info about the beach house. It is cozy yet spacious and open. The large kitchen was well stocked. My six full-of-energy grandchildren (ages 4-15) had room to play games and have fun during a rainy morning. The antique pump organ works and was really fun for my musical little ones! The beds were comfortable and the bedding was very nice. The beach is great for relaxing, playing, kite flying and a nice walk to Oval Beach. Be aware that there are about 80 steps down to the beach.
