    We had a delightful time here. The community always feels safe. The unit was recently redecorated. The couch and chairs are comfortable but the two of the table chairs were broken and carefully usable. The beds were comfy and the bedding appeared to be very new. The unit itself is very old and you can tell as there are boards in the floors that have been covered by carpet as well as what felt like a hole under the carpet near the kitchen. They have laid down a carpet on the carpet and with the unevenness it did present a bit of a tripping hazard so be forewarned. The downfall is there is no internet. The TV's all seem new with one smart TV in the secondary bedroom. However it can't be very smart without internet. The dish TV was very limited on its offerings so they could and should definitely add internet. After all it is 2020 and with nothing else to do after the lake (thank you COVID-19) having access to our Netflix, etc would be nice. The other thing we did not like was that we had to turn everything on from water to electricity and gas. We arrived and it was 110 outside which meant it was 110 plus inside. It took about 4 hours to get the unit cooled down. Too bad it was not on when we arrived. There is no central AC. Three separate units cooled the place well. However, with the heat, we used the AC at night and the units are LOUD!!! The kitchen is beyond well equipped and the BBQ outside worked like a champ. I did text with the owner as well as spoke on the phone to get the unit up and running. She was very helpful. As far as location, we love Sam's Beachcomer as we can dock our boat. The location is close to the swim beach and docks. Also it has a nice partial view out to the water so you can actually see the lake. The front deck faces east so the Sun was pretty hot in the am. A nice pull down shade and misters would be a great addition and make having coffee on the deck a much more pleasant experience. Also an upgrade on the deck furniture is needed. The bathroom is basic and the hot water was hot and plentiful. Overall, we got what we expected for the most part. We have rented at the Beachcomer before and what we really likes was that this unit is a full double wide. So we had a lot more room than the single wides or single and a half wide trailer. We were a family of 3 so it worked out pretty well. Thanks
