Lake Front Log Home, Amazing Mountain Views, Private Fishing and Canoeing

My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful cabin! We were lucky enough to arrive as the snow was letting up. We weren’t expecting snow, so that was an added bonus! Absolutely picturesque. Excellent communication with the owners. The cabin’s drive way was plowed by the time we arrived and we really had no problems driving there. Directions provided by the owners are very accurate. (Note we were in a 2 WD Jeep Wagoneer and had no problems. If we had been in a sedan, it might have been a little more difficult with the snow) The cabin is pet friendly and is set up with retractable dog gates to help keep the dogs in admitted areas. A nice feature as we didn’t have to constantly wonder where the dogs were, or what they were doing.We, well I, may not have paid attention to the altitude when booking (dad’s fault). Took a day to get adjusted but helps that Idaho Springs is only 15 minutes away. We made several trips there for groceries and boutique shopping.The location was perfect. Secluded, but also only an hour from Denver or Winterpark. We wanted dark skies and quiet nights and this place delivered.Cabin is well stocked with all the little extra things you usually forgot to bring. Food seasonings, toilet paper, paper towels, tin foil, zip lock bags, etc., etc.We loved our time there and will definitely be back! Would highly recommend this property to others. This property was spectacular. Loved the lake view and proximity to St Mary's glacier. 6 family members stayed here for week of daughter's wedding. Women had hair and makeup done at this beautiful home. Every need was provided by the hosts and they were always available for any questions. Highly recommend this rental.

Great 5 day stay, beautiful home, clean, everything worked, great access to 2 private lakes in a quiet area. Best mattress in a rental I’ve had in many years.

Our stay was 5 stars all around. We definitely will be returning in the future. The location is impeccable and breathtaking with the fall foliage colors, hiking, shopping, restaurants, and wild animals!!! Our trip was a true treasure, one we will definitely remember forever.

The home is situated on a small lake surrounded by amazing views. The house had a fully stocked kitchen and wonderful dining space. Our family of 8 had a wonderful time. St. Mary’s glacier hike is in walking distance. Really a beautiful spot and well appointed home.

The Everest Lake Lodge is one of our favorite rentals. Marshall and Heather are both fantastic, and their property is exactly as advertised. The Lodge is clean and thoughtfully stocked, the beds are all very comfortable, and the setting and location are unbelievable. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the pictures and mementos from their exploits and travels. You will not be disappointed.

House was beautiful as was the lake. Hosts were extremely accommodating to our needs. Got to see bull moose across the lake in early morning, quite a memory.

Lovely cabin in a great location - on a quiet secluded lake tucked away in the mountains, walking distance to hiking St. Mary's glacier. House was large enough to accomodate our extended family of 7, and is very well-stocked with supplies. The kitchen has just about everything needed for cooking which is uncommon with rentals. The hosts are extremely friendly and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, got to climb 2 peaks, go on several hikes, and went rafting and ziplining nearby at Idaho Springs. About 20 minutes away, the town has several restaurants and a good grocery store. Highly recommend if you want a quiet getaway in the mountains.

Such a beautiful home! It was absolutely perfect for our family - spacious, pretty sunlit windows, large kitchen with all the gadgets, plenty of sleep space, large deck for morning coffee! The location can't be beat. Super close to several amazing hikes! Easy to get into town when needed. Heather and Marshall were easy to contact and answered all of our questions quickly. We most definitely would love to come back!

If you are looking for a secluded place like no other cabin, this is for you! Perfect for hiking, fishing, canoeing, and making unbelievable memories that you and your family and friends will never forget!! We were greeted with wildlife right when we pulled up! This is a gorgeous home. The view is spectacular. Snowshoes were provided and there was a fun walk on the glacier. The beds are very comfortable. A portable crib and high chair were provided. Marsh was very welcoming. He gives you a signed copy of his book which I enjoyed reading when I got home. The Safeway in the town is very good for food shopping. We shopped at a Whole Foods in Denver on the way there and didn’t really need to. Several of us did experience altitude issues, headache and/or nausea, which lasted 1-2 days. Easily treated with NSAIDS and getting off the mountain briefly. I highly recommend staying here, and would love to come back in the summer.

We had an incredible family vacation in Heather and Marshall’s home. A true getaway, with unexpected spring snow, in a remote luxury cabin in the mountains. Marshall was a fantastic host and very friendly and helpful. Their snowshoe gear was such a treat, we were all able to hike St Mary’s glacier in the show and ice. The home was stupendous - Marshall’s cool memorabilia, the gorgeous interiors and the views, oh my gosh the views. The snow and remote feeling was magical. Can’t wait to come back in warmer months!

This is the second year in a row we vacationed in Colorado and were blown away with our experience. Being from SC we wanted to experience snow and boy did we. Even better than the snow, however was the total experience starting with amazing hosts Heather and Marshall. The views were breathtaking and the cabin was immaculate! The hosts were always willing to answer any questions and even made themselves available to drive up the mountain when we needed something. We plan on making a return trip next year and will definitely be staying at this little piece of heaven!

We stayed over Christmas and the house was beautifully decorated. It was very clean and well stocked as well. The Mountains with the snow background was gorgeous and we enjoyed sledding and walks in the snow. The home was very comfortable with two living areas and an additional loft. It would also be lovely in the summer to visit! Thank you to the hosts for detailed information about the home and good communication.

Marsha and Heather have a beautiful home that fit our needs perfectly for a Thanksgiving family getaway. Their home has a great kitchen for cooking a wonderful dining room table that seats 8. The 4 bedrooms 3 bathrooms were perfect for our group. Plenty of winter activities just outside the door including snowshoeing, sledding and x-cross skiing. We hiked up to St Mary's glacier and it was beautiful. The best thing about this home the mountain feel and charm. We would love to come back and experience summer here with the lake and surroundings.

This cabin home and hosts live up to the 5 star rating. Had everything we needed plus more (Canoe, fishing equipment, all household necessities and comforts)! Plus the tribute to Marsh’s adventures thru the house of conquering the 7 summits made it a bit of a fun museum for all of us! Hosts are exceptional with communication. Idaho springs was fun and the st mary’s glacier hike was convenient and gorgeous. We accomplished our mission of seeing fall colors, fishing on the lake, going on hikes and eating yummy food. Thanks Heather and Marsh! We hope to be back.

The house was even better in person. Views were spectacular. Gorgeous lake. We saw a moose with 2 babies in the yard/lake. It is a haul up the mountain but worth it. We had Naughty Cooking Co come cook dinner one night - great food and service - highly recommend! Hosts were wonderful and very communicative.

It's a great house in the mountains with fishing in the backyard. It is located 18-20 minutes from the main road. The house had everything we could think of. I asked Heather about beach towels for the rafting tours and trout fishing, and she purchased some for the home.

I have rented many homes before but never have I had one so fully stocked. If I needed it, it was there. In fact, things I didn't even know I needed were there! The house was stunning along with the views. This house was better than I imagined and the next time we travel out to Colorado, we will absolutely be returning.

My husband and I stayed for a quiet waterfront getaway with our dogs. The house was beautiful and fully stocked. It was so quiet and peaceful, felt like we had the lake to ourselves. Spend hours on the canoe fishing and even caught a rainbow trout. The hike up St Mary’s Glacier is a must! The hosts were extremely thoughtful when our plans changed last minute….even found our cell phone that we accidentally left. HIGHLY recommend The Everest Cabin for your next getaway!
