The property was just as beautiful as the pictures showed. Felt newly renovated and was very well cleaned. All the prior renters left behind items were cleared - which in general I love (no cabinet of old spices for me please!) but I do find it nice when there is extra Laundry detergent, dish soap, paper towels, trash bags, that sort of thing left in the unit. That was my only suggestion for improvement, but they did provide a starter pack of all the essentials. The walk to the beach was very easy and situated in a good spot with a wide beach and calmer waters. The welcoming emails leading up to our stay were a nice touch with lots of helpful information. Look forward to staying here again when we visit next.

We rented this unit for the space and the proximity to the beach. Both points did not disappoint. We r a family of 6 and the extra bathrooms and beds definitely helped. But if you are looking for a plush and five star accommodations, this was a little short on that. Doors were dirty and looking worn. Beds were a bit uncomfy. Some of the bedsheets were a bit outdated. We had holes in ours. Bathrooms were only so so. Shower curtains were a bit cheap looking. Patios had a nice setting but could have a used a good power washing. Kitchen had a hodge podge cookware and utensils in it. And if you are a big pool user, there is a bit of a walk to get there. So if you have small children, take that into consideration when choosing this unit. It wasnt all bad. We enjoyed our stay. Like I said, we are a big family so we get places that can provide us the space and has amenities such as washer dryer and kitchen. So it served us just fine. But if you are looking for fanciness and poshness and comfy furniture. This isnt the place for you.

The place was cute, but the bed and couch were sooooo uncomfortable!!! Also, too much work being done on home next door for us to enjoy the swing and outdoor patio.

We all had an amazing time. IOP is beautiful, family friendly and beautiful people. The house is beautiful, excatly as it is on the pictures. We love the view from the porch, so calm and serene, execept for the sound of nature. We enjoyed grilling there every night and drink our coffee in the morning before we head out to the pool or the beach, both just a few minutes walk distance. The neigjborhood is quiet and prestine. 10min drive to the town for food shopping. 30min drive to Charleston. We had two family for a couple of days at different time and that was perfect. It never felt crowded. The master bedroom with King bed is on the first floor and children and guest rooms are upstairs. Every room very comfortable. Full kitchen. I would recommend it to everyone going to IOP and we would stay there again if we were to repeat a trip to IOP.

We had a wonderful time staying at Pelican Bay. It was our first time in Wild Dunes and it was exactly what we all needed - beautiful location, relaxing, and a quick drive to downtown or Mount Pleasant. House was clean and welcoming and the perfect size for our family (6 total including 2 little girls and grandparents). We would definitely stay here again! Only suggestions for owners are: please look at the BBQ (it cooked so slow we had to finish in the oven), fix the upstairs bathroom ceiling, and the 2nd floor bed is pretty uncomfortable. Other than that, it was great!
