No matter what part of the world you come from you to can enjoy and experience what it was like to be a real cowboy and Native American who roamed this land right here in Williams, Arizona, the Gateway to the Grand Canyon, established in 1881. To feel what it was like for them, to see what they saw through their eyes, all you have to do is sit around the fire pit and look up at the stars. Ken's Place will take you there.

If you are looking for something away from it all but not back inthe hills over pot holed roads miles from the 64, then this is it. Ken's Place is conveniently located one block off the 64 highway near Hoctor and Red Lake road. The house sits on a beautifully landscaped, gated 1.16 acre corner lot full of pinyon trees, rock gardens, a gazebo, BBQ, patio set, and outdoor fire pit perfect to sit out and star gaze.

The home is 1800 sf with dining room, kitchen, breakfast area with all new appliances, den with pool table and plenty of space to accommodate 10. Check out the tribute to the 60's in the den. A mural made up of Life magazines that tells the story of that turbulent decade. I call Life as Art.

The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with plenty of large towels, and laminate floors throughout. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a private bath. The middle bedroom is furnished with a double bed. And the bedroom off the den has two bunk beds with one lower bunk as a double. The den is furnished with a futon.

The home is ideal for entertaining large groups. The living room accommodates 8 comfortably on two couches and a love seat complete with a 55 inch Samsung Smart TV with Direct TV and Netflix provided. All streaming services available with your log in. The dining room seats 6 with 4 in the breakfast nook. The kitchen is spacious with new appliances, fully stocked with cook wear and kitchen items such as two coffee makers, one with basket filter and the other single serve, toaster, blender, electric can opener, general spices/cooking oil, crock pot, and convection oven. The den is the main attraction with the Brunswick regulation pool table. The house has central heating with a window mounted A/C. All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans.

Outside offers a gazebo with a stainless steal 4-burner BBQ with searing burner for those steaks, and a rock fire pit. If sleeping ten isn't enough, bring your RV and hook it up to property provided water, electric, and septic, at no extra charge. Please notify in advance you will be bringing an RV.

The home is located approximately 8 miles from historic Williams, Arizona, The Gateway to the Grand Canyon, on the world famous Route 66, ride the Zipline, it looks safe, kind of; just down the street from Bearizona Wildlife Park; and approximately 45 minutes to the South Rim entrance. Williams is conveniently located just 30 minutes from Flagstaff. On your way to Flagstaff, stop off and visit Grand Canyon Go-Karts right off the 40 freeway, and 7 minutes further down is the Deer Farm and Petting Zoo. You might want to check out an outstanding scenic 90 minute drive to the beautiful red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. No need to stop off for travel those brochures plenty are provided for you in the home.

Weather is generally moderate during the summer months, with monsoons in the later summer months, and very cold with snow in the winter. Check in time is 3:00 pm, but earlier check in may be arranged with the owner. Check out time is 10:00 am.

I was amazed how nice this properly was. Kitchen was fully equipped with just about everything anyone needed to make a nice meal. Rooms are nice and able to accommodate large party. Property was very clean. There was a bit of issue with master bath shower water control valve. However, the owner provided instructions and able to make the show work with a bit of inconvenience. The location is also very nice. It is 10 minutes to downtown Williams for groceries such as at Safeway supermarket and it is less than 1 hour to South Rim. Overall, I am a very satisficed customer.

Bill was a great Host, the home was just what my family and I expected. The house had everything we needed and more. I recommend this stay to families that want privacy and a home away from home. Thank you for everything! Beautiful home and the snow did not disappoint ?

I had a great stay at Ken's Place. Bill checked with me to see if I had everything I needed. The location is perfect if you are headed to the Grand Canyon, Bearizona, or Flagstaff, yet still close to town. It is more of a rural setting than the places in town. I highly recommend it.

This house is beautiful! Comfortable livong room to hang out in. Lots of extras! Extra blankets for snuggling in, foam cooler to use for a day at the grand canyon, hair dryers in the bathrooms. The kitchen is so well stocked with every gadget you could think of, plus extras like coffee, butter, cooking oil and condiments which is great for those who flew there like us! Skip the hotel and head straight to this place for your vacation!

Kens place was a nice property, the kitchen had condiments and plenty of seasonings as well. Great variety of dishes and coffee machines and the house had plenty of space. We came up for the weekend to go to the polar Express and it was about a 15 minute drive, a Chevron was nearby as well. We would recommend staying here.

We were glad to have papers with lots of details about the property and do's and don'ts. Nice and spacious for relatives staying close by to visit. Excellent kitchen set up and very well stocked. Plenty of linens. Loved having a washer and dryer.

This house was perfect Grand Canyon trip. We had four adults and four children in our group. The house was clean and comfortable, and situated in a quiet and beautiful area. Make sure you go outside after dark and look at the stars! The kitchen was spacious and well-stocked. The pool table made for fun evenings. My 11-year-old son said that I should give the house 50 stars! We would definitely stay here again!

We chose this house mainly because we were planning to visit the Grand Canyon and this seemed like a good location for that purpose. We were so happy with this choice, it is a great spot to visit the GC and Williams. It is such a quiet area, so relaxing after a busy day of walking! We found the house to be very spacious, even if you filled all the beds you would have plenty of room! Wonderful huge kitchen! We loved the decor, it is very homey without being too much. We were especially impressed with the collection of old Life magazines, it was so fun to read all the covers! We found it to be very clean and had no issues with anything! We sure appreciate your hospitality and would definitely stay here again! (I really love the story about the name of the house, what a tribute!)

This house is clean, comfortable, and lovely. The kitchen is well stocked with high end appliances, utensils/dishes, and cookware. Most rental homes’ kitchens seem to have just the basics and be low quality. That is not the case here. Also, they have been so thoughtful to have things like tissues, dish soap, and even good toilet paper. Those little touches really were appreciated.

This was a great house for our family of 8. Contactless check-in and Bill was communicative and gave helpful tips on local amenities. The kitchen was well stocked with all the basics as shown in the listing pictures. The butcher block is beautiful and the appliances all worked well. The kids enjoyed both the board games and the pool table (beating me narrowly at both). The bunk room was great and the extra linens helped everyone find their right temperature. The ceiling fans helped cool things off at night without having to resort to AC. The stars were wonderfully bright from the high elevation, seclusion from city lights, and the trees. It was nice to be able to sit out on the patio and relax after a long day of hiking and driving. Being able to take a hot shower and pull out some ice cream reinforced that we made the right decision to stay here rather than try to find a camping spot. Unfortunately, a previous guest decided to smoke in the house, despite the listing clearly indicating that the house rules prohibit smoking. Thankfully our visit was in the spring and we were able to open all the windows to air out the house somewhat. It’s not the owner’s fault that previous renters misbehaved. The linens were all quite clean and fresh. Our family is particularly sensitive to cigarette smoke, so it was challenging for us, but that was the only detractor from our stay. If lingering smoke doesn’t bother you to the same degree, this would be a perfect place to stay.
