We had an unforgettable family stay at your charming historical cabin near Quincy, our first time in Plumas County during a stormy winter week. The cabin exceeded expectations, was perfectly described, with great WiFi, a well-appointed kitchen and a large table for family meals, and 2 beautiful clawfoot tubs with wild river views. We really liked the commercial ovens! Just a short 7-10 minute drive into Quincy for any needed items, we enjoyed shopping and exploring the cute mountain town while bonding. We captured postcard-worthy photos we’ll treasure forever. The host Ember was incredibly helpful from booking to arrival, even delivering toilet paper with kindness and grace when we ran out. When we forgot my husband’s running vest, she refused our shipping account or label, going above and beyond to return it to us. We had the best experience and can’t wait to return in summer to play in the water—thank you for sharing this gem with our family!

The property is beautiful and the sound of the river is calming. Watching the trains go by is a real experience. The sound and the feeling is very nostalgic. We hosted several meals with our local relatives and had a great time cooking and visiting.A little tough navigating the outdoor stairs for someone with mobility issues. All in all, a great place to stay and a wonderfully attentive host.

This is our 3rd time staying and not our last. Ember is a wonderful, responsive, caring host -- and the house is amazing. It's setting on the creek is beautiful and secluded, perfect for swimming and lounging around.

I came here for my bachelorette trip and was glad I did! The house feels like home almost. It’s quirky, cozy, has everything you need and more. Plenty of extra pillows/blankets/towels, you name it. All the streaming services were already logged in when we went, there weren’t any locked doors (which my nosey self appreciated). Plenty of books and lawn games. There’s so much to do, even just on the property. We loved hiking down the private creek side trail to our own swimming hole. I could have easily stayed a week. The host, Ember was super responsive to all of my questions. Check-in/out was a breeze. Oh and the train! Super cool being able to look out your window and see a train going by every once and awhile. The sound wasn’t an issue for us at night, I actually found it relaxing. No a/c but we were fine in the high 80 degree weather. The house is shaded so it stays relatively cool.

My husband and I had a wonderful time! This house was so cozy, and it had just about everything we needed. We loved spending our time on the deck with out Great Dane pup, watching the trains go by and listening to the river. Beautiful location and Ember was an amazing host!

This is a great location for fishing, swimming, gold panning and hiking. The home is comfortable with all the necessities for large groups. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace as it was raining, they provided plenty of wood to get through the stay. The property has several outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the mountain air and views. There’s a fire pit and two decks over looking the River. The train came by often but it was a quaint feature adding to the mountain retreat. It’s easy to get to the River and several hiking trails. The host was easy to communicate with and close by if something came up. We hope to stay again.
