Stayed Aug 18, 2024Location is remote, while still being accessible. Large, extremely well stocked/equipped home. Remember you are in the woods. Had a close encounter with a mountain lion there taking the dog out at 4:00 am! This is a great property for a very reasonable price. Have stayed there before and will again.

Stayed Aug 9, 2024We love Bucks Lake, but with no vacation rentals at the lake and not always wanting to camp, this house offers a convenient alternative. This is our 2nd stay. Positives: Host is very responsive, house is clean, check-in is a breeze, house is large and fully (overly) stocked with games, puzzles, books, kitchen utensils, etc. Negatives: Living room is poorly furnished and dark, no coffee table or side tables, or table lamps, and a really outdated and poor quality television. Deck outside has chairs but no table for dining. Stairs to 2nd floor are steep with narrow treads, and slippery. Refrigerator, freezer and kitchen cupboards have open, partially consumed food items left behind by other guests, apparently over a span of a decade or more based upon the expiration dates. (I'm certainly not going to a VRBO so that I can finish off someone else's half-eaten pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Gross!) Overall a nice place, it's got everything you need.
