There was a basket for us when we checked in with Thanksgiving kitchen supplies that made us feel welcome. It had all the amenities that we needed. The hot tub was serviced midweek so we knew it was safe for the kids. As soon as we got home, we received a card from the owner thanking us for staying at her home which was very nice. We will definitely lease this property again!

Even with the hurricane, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be traveling again to the Outer Banks!

Fantastic location and made accommodation for the things we cared about that they couldn't fix right away. The space fit our family well. Fantastic location, very kid friendly.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Keys (not key pad!) could not be picked up until 4 pm. No exceptions. Stove broke early on Wednesday and was not serviced until late Friday. We had 8 adults and a baby in our party. We had prepared and purchased food for the week to make in the house. We had to make alternate plans and spend extra money for meals. I feel this could have been avoided or compensated for. The home is nicely furnished, kitchen is well stocked, extra refrigerator is great and a new gas grill is nice. Bedroom are small. Great beach access! Joley Rogers across the street lets out late and Bikers woke us up often as they left.

The owner has the house well stocked with everything that's needed. This was our 5th year at Summer Wind and 6th year renting from this owner.

Needs to be updated , rain leaked and make it stink inside but the property manager sent someone out that day to look at it. Great location steps away from beach and great restaurants. F

The house itself is in very good condition, the layout of the living space and bedrooms is very logical and takes advantage of every square inch. The location and amenities make the stay very enjoyable. However, poor cleanliness takes away from the experience. The trash left in the yard, left over personal items from the previous party, candy wrappers and cigarette butts on the grounds were eyesores and remedied with a phone call to the property manager. Living the entire week with the numerous stains (some still moist) on the carpet on every floor and on the furniture made it feel like we had overpaid for a cheap motel, especially when you throw in the exorbitant fee for the services provided by VRBO. I would definitely recommend the property but only if it has been thoroughly cleaned.

House has everything you need and the newer couches were nice. Bring sleep masks if sleeping in ocean facing bedrooms. Morning sun is bright and shades do little block sun. Everything worked great and extra fridge was nice for beverages.
