Katama Retreat with Pool, Hot Tub & Coastal Luxury Near South Beach

This property is incredible! Every summer my family rents a house on the Vineyard and we have a traditional routine of going to all our favorite restaurants and destinations all around the island. This year was different, we did none of that and it was the best year ever! There’s so much to do on this playground of a property that nobody wanted to leave it. The backyard is enormous and in addition to the bocce ball court, we found every lawn game you could think of in the pool house. We organized a tournament playing games outside all day and at night we moved inside to play billiards, air hockey and ping pong. Every structure on the compound from the gym to the guest house is wired with Sonos sound systems that you can control with your phone. The outdoor kitchen/bar was my favorite. We made frozen margaritas all afternoon and the kids had a blast at Make Your Own Pizza Night as there’s a legit pizza oven attached to the outdoor grill. The property abuts a bird sanctuary and I highly recommend getting up early at least once to walk the nature trails and watch the sun come up over Katama Bay and Chappy(don’t worry, they have an espresso machine if you’re not a morning person). My only complaint, if you wanna call it that, is VRBO won’t allow bookings 1+ years out otherwise we would have already booked our Summer 2022 vacation. We had an unbelievable time at this house! The location is prime and the property itself is beautiful. We loved how close we were to the beach as well as Edgartown center. All of the amenities that were included were great and the house was so well kept upon our arrival. The owners were very responsive to any questions that we had which made us feel incredibly welcomed and comfortable. This vacation house exceeded all of the expectations that we had and we are hoping to stay again! Highly recommend!!

My family has had some great experiences through VRBO but nothing has compared to this house. The house is so big. gorgeous, beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, steps from South Beach, and the owner and caretaker were both incredibly nice and accommodating. The pool wasn’t open for the summer yet but we loved the outdoor entertainment area and pool house. We have already booked for summer 2022 and can’t wait to return and see it in the summertime!

Watchmere is a spectacular property with amazing indoor and outdoor space, and the surrounding conservation land provided total privacy! In spite of several family members on vacation with us, my husband and I enjoyed a romantic vacation on Martha’s Vineyard at this house. Seven of us in total, we all had ample private and gathering space. The main house has upstairs gathering rooms with a well appointed kItchen, open to the living room and dining area, as well as two fabulous decks. My husband and I stayed in the suite over the separate from the main house. It is beautiful, private and comfortable - with amazing views. The outdoor kitchen has all the comforts of the indoor kitchen - we enjoyed cooking and relaxing in front of the fireplace while watching football and movies on the Sunbrite TV (totally clear and visible even in direct sunlight). The heated pool and Jacuzzi as well as the ping pong table, bocce court, kayaks and bikes (the property is on a beautiful biking and walking trail) added great fun to our adventure. Amanda was helpful and accommodating. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this beautiful property! Thanks!!

My family and I just returned from an amazing last minute trip spent luxuriating at this beautiful property! It exceeded our expectations in every way, the photos and video really don’t do it justice. The main house and separate guest suite are both gorgeous, spacious, beautifully decorated.... basically a luxury beach house with every amenity you could ask for. Outdoors the grounds are huge and even in the fall the landscaping is beautiful. My kids especially loved the bocce court with both regular and glow-in-the-dark bocce balls for nighttime play. The entire property is surrounded by acres and acres of pristine conservation land and the house is set way back and gated, so even thought you’re right by South Beach and downtown Edgartown, you feel you’re in your own private oasis. The owner Amanda and caretaker David were fantastic, so responsive and accommodating. We can’t wait to go back in the summer when the pool and hot tub are open and it’s warmer so we can use the outdoor entertainment/grilling area and decks more. We had a wonderful time and could not have asked for a more perfect vacation house!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The home is very comfortable and well-furnished. The upside down style of the house offers wonderful light during the day and the two outdoor decks provide great space for seeing the sunset sky. The outdoor spaces are incredible, especially the large pool and hot tub. The property owner was extremely responsive and accommodating, with a caretaker nearby to promptly address any issues. Fantastic property!
