The house was exactly as advertised and in a great location. The host provided great info regarding the house and local places to visit and eat. We were in town for a wedding and both my brother’s family and my family had a great time.

This property was cozy and spacious all at the same time. The historic home is well-maintained and charmingly appointed. Cleanliness of the space and open communication with the property owner was excellent. We especially appreciated the location as we were in town for a family wedding. The ceremony took place at a church within walking distance and other wedding events were within short drives. Also, access to good restaurants, galleries and shops were within walking distance and the TVC airport was only 35 min away (with construction traffic). All in all it was a nice stay and we were grateful to have found this listing and wonderful host.

The best spot to stay when we come up to the Traverse City area! So much room in the house but it feels so cozy. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants and of course close to the wineries. This was our second stay here and will absolutely be back!

Enjoyed using this adorable cottage as home base while we visited the area with our siblings. Plenty of room for all of us and more than enough space in the living room and table to gather and play games.

My husband and I travelled to Sutton’s Bay with two other couples and our dogs, to go on a snow shoe wine tasting adventure. Our accommodations were perfect for all of us and our host was quick to respond to our questions. Her home was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. I would definitely come bank again!

We are a group of friends who have been coming to the Sutton's bay area for the last twenty years or so. We recently lost our normal rental property when the owners decided to take it off the rental market. Fortunately, we found a listing for the Schoolhouse Cottage. The property is in a great location with easy travel to most popular attractions, including wineries, distilleries, and restaurants. While we spend much of our time enjoying all that the Leelanau area offers, we also enjoy our downtime. The Cottage itself is clean, spacious, and well appointed. There is plenty of room for playing cards or boardgames, and plenty of seating for our downtime activities. I would definitely recommend the Schoolhouse Cottage to anyone interested in a carefree, relaxing week or weekend in the Sutton's Bay area.

I could not imagine a better location. We sold our home in Northport last fall, but wanted to continue to spend time in the area. It was great being in Suttons Bay with the ability to walk to shops, restaurants and coffee. Loved Hive Coffee! The house is clean and spacious and the second floor offered great privacy for our kids and grandchildren that visited. We appreciated the investment the owner has obviously made in the property with a relatively new dishwasher, beautiful wood stairs to the 2nd floor, and comfy beds and furniture. The kitchen has everything you need. We enjoyed sitting outside in the sun on the side deck. We suggested that an umbrella might be a nice addition at some point and the owner had one dropped off the next day. She was fabulous to work with and quick with communication if there were any questions. We will be back next year!
