Charming home in a perfect location. We parked the car upon arrival and were able to walk to all our favorite spots in town. The owners were responsive and helpful when needed. I’d be happy to stay there again. The only thing I would add would be soft seating on the porch.

We had a great stay! Accommodations are exactly as described. Super close walk to downtown. Comfortable beds. Our toddler enjoyed having plenty of room and yard to move around. Love the fireplace, but definitely recommended using Duraflame logs with the local wood. We will be back next time in Highlands.

We had an absolutely amazing stay. The house was very clean and the host was very responsive if we needed anything. It couldn’t have been in a better location either. We drove into town but it was only a few minute walk if we had wanted to walk

Great location. Very Clean. I would say the only thing that I would add to this rental is in the bedroom with the twin beds I would add a folding luggage rack and in the kitchen a Keurig which most people use these days. Other than that I give it a great recommendation.

We were extremely happy with our rental experience. The location is fantastic in relation to Main St and on an extremely quiet road. We basically didn’t have to move the car for the 3 days we were there. The pond with ducks was a great way to relax and entertain young kids. The nature center an easy walk in the other direction, even with a 3 year old. House was impeccably clean with some nice renovations.

Super cute home in a fantastic location to walk everywhere you want to go in Highlands. .3 of a mile from downtown shopping, restaurants, etc. We would stay here again. Close to all hiking, waterfalls and outdoor activities. Particularly enjoyed hiking Glen Falls and Whiteside Mountain. Walked to dinners each night. Excellent restaurants and fun shopping in Downtown Highlands. Very comfortable home that had everything we needed for a great long weekend.

Great house 2 blocks from Main Street! The house is cozy, clean, and super comfortable. The mattress in the primary bedroom is especially comfortable. We loved the porch, the friendly lady across the street, walking around the neighborhood and the easy 5 min walk to downtown. Would definitely recommend this house.

First, let me say how much we’ve enjoyed this house and location the past 2 years. Last year when we arrived there was a deer in the front yard. Not to be outdone, this year we had a bear on the back deck that wandered into the street and deer frolicking behind the house a couple days later. And, we had raccoon tracks in the pollen on the front porch. This was a Highlands first for us. We’ve been visiting Highlands for several years and have finally decided to buy our own home as a result of these wonderful memories. This location is absolutely perfect! You can walk to shopping, dining, the Biological Research facility and so much more. Don’t miss this gem!

Our family of 4 stayed at the cabin for 5 nights. The location of the cabin allowed us to walk to all the attractions in town. The cabin is very comfortable and well equipped. Everything worked flawlessly! The Checkin process was easy! Excellent!

Comfortable, cozy, very clean, convenient location. Was pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of the house. Plenty of kitchen items plus paper items. Plenty of towels in bathrooms & paper products. Did not need to bring anything but personal items. Garage was a plus because we stayed there for Thanksgiving & it was cold. Vehicle stayed warm because we did not need it being so close to town & my sister/brother in law’s house, who live around the corner. Will definitely stay there again!

Great location, about a 5 min walk to town. Appreciated the closet space since we were in for a wedding with many activities. The old heat pump unit is a little loud (more of a low rumble) but not too bad. We really enjoyed the stay.

The retreat is obvious. The “treat” is that you are only steps from downtown Highlands. We walked every day to get the full experience. We’ve stayed in Hghlands several times but never where we could take casual strolls or walk to our shopping or dining destinations. There is so much more to Highlands than we ever knew. The Highlands Biological Station and Ravenel Lake was an unexpected treat and only minutes away by foot. Further into our walk were manicured lawns and Dahlia gardens that that were a feast for the eyes. We even got to experience the annual Rotary 5K run in support of local charities without leaving the porch! The house was perfectly appointed, well maintained (everything worked) and on a beautiful street. There was a deer in the driveway upon our arrival. Nice welcoming! One thing that really appealed to us was that we truly felt at home with people out walking in front of the house almost all day long. You felt like you were in a friendly family oriented neighborhood. We loved our experience and hope to stay in this same house again next year. That is a first for us!

My wife and I along with our 13 month old stayed here for three nights. The location was perfect! The street was quiet, and the house is very walkable to all the restaurants and shopping, even with a stroller! The house is very well maintained and clean! It looked as if was newly renovated and freshly painted. The host was very responsive the couple of times we had questions. 10/10 would stay here again!
