Idyllic, picturesque 2 bedroom cottage with deep water jetty on the waterfront

What a beautiful oasis. We didn’t want to leave! I was inclined to not post a review so we could keep it a secret . From the moment we stepped into this beautiful boathouse we were mesmerised. You feel you have been transported to another world.It’s a perfect spot to find some quiet, calm relaxation. Watch the eagles, pelicans and cormorants fishing, schools of fish gliding past and boats bobbing around.Di and David have thought of everything and if you bring enough food for your whole stay, you simply don’t need to leave!- The kitchen is perfectly appointed. (Some tasty extras are provided.)- The BarBQ is on mains gas, so no fussing with bottles is needed.- The bed was very comfortable.- The deck is large with an electronic awning that means you can be outside in any weather.- The inclinator makes light work of the descent so only one or two steps are to be navigated.- The deep water jetty means you can catch a water taxi at any tide. Many thanks for a beautiful weekend away from the hustle of the city Di. We loved our stay and look forward to returning.

This is the most stunning property in a beautiful location.Di and David were fantastic to communicate with and help out with any of our questions.It is just as it looks and is described on the website.I would highly recommend this stay and will hope to return again but for a longer stay .One of the nicest places we have stayed in

We had the most wonderful stay at the boathouse. Di was great and shared lots of helpful information about local restaurants and things to do. The space itself was lovely and the perfect location. We would highly recommend a stay and will definitely be visiting again!

Views and facilities were great. Hosts were friendly.

Dianne communicated very thorough directions and gave wonderful suggestions of things to do during our stay . The house was immaculate and was the perfect setting after a week of nonstop activities in Melbourne and Sydney . We spent so much of the time relaxing on the deck, looking out onto the bay . It was very peaceful. One of our favorite activities was taking the water taxi to a Barrenjoey House in Palm Beach.We were picked up at the end of their pier —very convenient and fun!The cottage was well equipped and plenty of room for the 3 of us . It is a lovely home and we would stay there again. Thank you for making our last few days in Australia so memorable .

Thoughtfully restored original cottage. Very private with beaches, food and Shopping within 5 mins drive. Impeccably clean. Could have stayed forever. Thanks for sharing your home.

We swam, fished, paddled and sunbaked for two days at Diane and David’s cottage. We could hear the water lapping outside our bedroom and could see rays and fish from the jetty. We relaxed as a family and ate dinner and breakfast on the deck. There was sun and shade and the cottage has everything you need , including little extras ( beautiful flowers, chocolate treats). We even took a water taxi to dinner at palm beach. We walked to local coffees shops and did the short drive and walk to the lighthouse. Disney and David we lovely hosts, easy going, approachable but also respected our privacy, so the waterfront space was all to ourselves. We’d love to go back.

Amazing location and views. We enjoyed our relaxing stay. Dianne was a very welcoming host. Loved the small gestures to make our stay comfortable. We brought our two small dogs and the private lawn area was perfect for them to run around.
