Loved the outdoor space with deer and rabbits and the close walking distance to the Spearfish creek path and park! Could have been better water pressure for the shower. Would stay again though.

We really enjoyed our stay at The White House. Is close enough to the town of Spearfish without being located right in town. Enjoyed watching the wildlife in the early mornings and late afternoons. Very relaxing and had all the comforts of home.

The listing said a bedroom on first level but there wasn’t. The porch needed TLC - many bird droppings at the entrance that were not real recent and had to be scraped off - Bad first impression. Main floor bathroom needs a privacy curtain on the door to the outside. Kitchen and house well supplied beds were comfortable and house is in a good location good location. Many hours spent on the lovely front porch. W enjoyed our stay and e would return.

Very cute updated farmhouse, plenty of room for our group we came in before & for the first few days of rally. Would definitely stay again, had no issues getting into the house, central air did have a hard time keeping up tho, had it set at 67 and the lowest inside we could get it was 74(thankful it was a cooler Aug. week than normal.. low 80's, we opened the windows in the bedrooms at night otherwise it would have been hot & stuffy). Had good water pressure, water was very hard so maybe need a water softener or maybe just out of salt, bathrooms were nice and spacious with a seperate door for the toilet area, huge shower, the door going outside from the bathroom on the main floor needs a blind on it for privacy reasons(just a suggestion, i hung a towel over it). If coming in be aware of all the bedrooms are on the 2nd & 3rd floors of the house with first set of steps a bit steep with narrow treads we thought they were on the main floor. Laundry is also located on the 2nd floor...beds were super comfy! For the most part everything was stocked with daily supplies, if staying longer than a few days maybe bring extra food storage containers there aren't many there. And just remember your in an old farmhouse so there is alot of creaking, the first night several of us got up in the middle of the night to go downstairs and check the doors as it sounded like someone walking around on the main floor...after that first night we didnt hear anything else.

We loved our stay at the White House. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Wrap around deck was a nice plus to enjoy seeing deer and rabbits in the yard. Spearfish Canyon and the surrounding areas were beautiful. Don’t stay if you can’t do stairs but for us it was great. Would definitely stay again!

Overall it’s a very nice updated home that u can still feel the history in. There is a nice fire pit that we were able to sit around and make s’mores. There are two bunnies that hung out in the yard all day and don’t seem to be afraid of people. They were a fun touch to the property. The only issue was had was that the bedrooms are not on the main floor. They are on the second floor so my 83 year old mother-in-law slept on the couch in the living room. Fortunately it was only for three nights so we made it work.

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house was spotlessly clean and clearly well-maintained. The kitchen was truly impressive—fully equipped with every tool and amenity needed to whip up and serve home-cooked meals. It’s evident that the organizer put a lot of thought into every detail, making our stay even more comfortable. Checking in and out was a breeze, and the location couldn’t be better. We highly recommend this house and would love to stay here again!

Overall our stay was enjoyable. The only thing I would critique is the driveway was not cleared of snow, the sidewalk was not cleared of snow, and a dirty pan was discovered in the oven.

The property was great. The only complaint we had was the dishes in the dishwasher were left and not clean and the coffee maker was really dirty. We cleaned both upon arrival but other than that it was great.

This well appointed house was the perfect location for our late season UTV trip. It had everything we needed and more. This house had the charm of an older house but looked like it was newly renovated. Neat and clean! We would highly recommend.

The property is more than what is described in the listing. The property is very quaint and homey. You truly feel as if it is your home and not just a vacation rental. The location is amazing to see all the Black Hills to offer. It is tucked away right on the scenic highway through the canyon. For myself, I truly enjoyed the deer in the morning and evening. Especially the mornings while I was having my coffee on the wrap around porch. If you need a place to stay for a family event like we did this is the place. Even if it’s not for a family event, for a vacation this is the place where you can truly reset and refresh your sole.

Once arriving at the property, the key code would not work for us to get in. The contact we were given that fixed for us later. Once we got in,after being out in 100° heat all day, the air conditioner did not work. We were told someone would be out to fix that. It was not fixed the next day so After multiple calls to the contact we were given, there was no response. We also contacted the management company and the rental company. Neither the owner or the contact for the property would respond!!! Finally two days later someone come to fix it !!!!! it worked for one day, and the remaining four days of the day still no air conditioning!!!! Whenever we got in I had to do some cleaning, few things under the bed and needed dust mopping. The l washer is not plumbed correctly and smelled like sewer when opened the laundry room door. Place is decorated nice. Will not stay here again.
