Saint Ives, England
Chy Barnett overlooks the west Cornwall's wild Atlantic. It has 3 double bedrooms and 1 single, as well as a family bathroom and a shower room. The living room includes a kitchen, dining room, sitting room, sun room and a back hall way suitable for boots, dogs etc. Outside, it has a reasonably sized garden with lawns for children to play on, a picnic table and parking for several cars. There is also a barbecue.
Beautiful place. Stunning views, gorgeous walks from the doorstep, comfortable house with beautiful furnishings. Details in the house are superb: gorgeous bedding, lovely pottery, sharp knives, well stocked kitchen -- excellent attention to form and functional.
detached large house with garden. very nice view of the sea and the coasts. very nice coastal footpaths right outside the door . a quiet place to enjoy . also suitable for well behaved dogs.
We had an idyllic week at Chy Barnett , wonderful isolated situation with amazing views of the sea . We loved scrambling down to quiet Treen Beach to swim saw dolphins, seals & the choughs were above on the cliffs . Also it is so near the South West coastal path (Salt Path)which we used to walk to the Tinners Pub in Zennor …. so nice .We loved the property & Rupert was so helpful with information & returning a jacket we had left !!! We certainly hope to come back & enjoy this house again.
Rupert the owner was terrific in ensuring we had every but of information before and during our stay. The location of the house is truly jaw dropping. Absolutely fell in love with it.
This property is in the absolute best location. Overlooking sea, amazing coastal paths at your doorstep, the fabulous Gurnards Head restaurant in short walking distance. The property itself is simply furnished, but has really good quality finishing touchers i.e. good beds, bedding and towels (the white company); well equiped kitchen, etc etc. It is twixted between St Ives and Penzance, with everything you need a short drive away. A really excellent holiday vacation home.
We love Chy Barnet, and have stayed there quite a few times over the years - would have stayed there more but it’s always booked up! It’s in a stunning bit of Cornwall and has amazing sea views from nearly every room. Fabulous hikes straight from the door. The coast path is a few minutes walk down the track, and more hikes into moorland etc up the track. The house itself is warm, clean, bright and comfortable with everything you need, and the owner is very helpful if you have any problems during your stay. There’s a good pub/ restaurant up at the end of the track, and another good pub, and recently a Moomaid of Zennor ice cream (best ice cream ever!) and tea shop, in Zennor which is just a few miles away. Love love love this place! Would really recommend booking if it’s free - just don’t book it when we want it!!
This without doubt is the most beautiful house we have stayed in ever,we had the most wonderful week at Chy Barnett.Rupert is a wonderful human being and in fact we have booked again for next year. The house is so spacious but very cosy, everything was beautifully clean and the bedding and beds exceptionally comfortable. The views are outstanding and we enjoyed some fabulous walks. The colours of the landscape in Autumn are stunning.Thank you Rupert for sharing your beautiful house with us.Overjoyed to have had our very much needed break, just in time!
This really is a fantastic house in a truly marvellous location. All you need for a superb holiday in Cornwall, close to so many great parts of the county but a nice secluded place to get away from it all. The first of many stays for us here I'm sure!
It’s impossible to sum up how special this house is, set up on the cliffs with magnificent views from the windows. The house itself is a home from home, with all the comforts and special welcoming touches. Wonderful!
Really well appointed in a fabulous location.- 5 minute walk to the Coastal Path in one direction and 5 minute walk to the pub in the other. Despite the time of year and howling gales the cottage is really warm and cosy, but spacious at the same time. The bedding and linen deserve special mention - very nice quality. Met the housekeeper both in and outbound, who was really welcoming. Would stay here again in a heartbeat - at any time of the year. 5 stars across the board
