Historic Unique Antique Manor House Near Keswick and Charlottesville, Virginia.

This was our second time staying at Sotherly Manor. Our family had such a wonderful time and loved the beauty so much that they insisted on another trip. The house is incredible with amazing antiques. Our host was so helpful and welcoming. We loved relaxing in the beautiful pool. We were in the area for the first UVA football game and got to enjoy shopping on Main Street, food at Pres des Pres and multiple wineries and other restaurants. We are already planning our family trip again next year to Sotherly!

Where do I begin? The owners have created and shared an amazing home that has everything for a comfortable stay in lovely Gordonsville. Not only that, but they have filled every room of historic Sotherly Manor with spectacular antiques. Such a delight! With shops, restaurants, markets and museums just a few blocks away, we did not even feel the need to hop in our cars all weekend. John was so kind and available for any questions or requests that we might have. We thoroughly enjoyed our Girls’ Weekend and cannot wait to come back!

This property was awesome! I’m from Virginia and a graduate of UVA! We booked this location after looking at many places. We were there for a long Fall weekend full of vineyard tours, football, beautiful landscape and much more. This location was perfect! We loved the beauty of the antiques in the home! It was so welcoming. Our host, John was awesome! We will book again!

We thoroughly enjoyed the house, decorations, and location. Thr hosts had thoughtfully provided tons of snacks and fresh flowers upon our arrival. The kitchen was well stocked for the meal we prepared one evening. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were amazing. Plenty of fresh new towels and every space had anything you could think to need including tolietries. We will definitely come back!

Sotherly Manor in Gordonsville was the perfect place for us to celebrate our family reunion. Everything exceeded our expectations!! The historic house was spotlessly clean and is even larger than it appears in the photographs. It gave us all the present day comforts with a taste of the past all wrapped up in one from the antiques, beautiful artworks, oriental rugs, and chandeliers. Even though we had some very frosty mornings this February, the house was lovely and warm and plenty of hot water in the showers. The basement was a hit for hanging out in the pub room, which felt like being in a colonial tavern from way back when! The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and spacious with fantastic beds and everyone slept so well! The kitchen had everything - every pot and pan and serving dish you could think of. The large formal dining room sat 10 of us comfortably around the huge dining room table - perfect for our great family gathering. Location was perfect for adventures to historic Monticello and Montpelier and we visited Keswick and Barboursville vineyards for wine tastings. Breakfast at Jackson’s & Co became our morning ritual walk for coffee and fresh pastries. In all this place was a great find and we can’t wait to come back. We would highly recommend booking this beautiful home!!
