We had a great stay. The house was clean and well furnished. Recommend for anyone staying in the area.

We loved the openness of the living space. The house was clean and kitchen had everything we needed! We liked the fact that the backyard had a fire pit but unfortunately we didn’t get to use it! Holly was amazing in responding when we discovered we didn’t have heat!

Fern Cottage was perfect for our girl trip to visit some local wineries, shop, relax and have a lot of laughs together. The house was spacious, very clean and Holly was always quick to answer any questions I sent her by text. We’re already talking about returning again next fall.

Beautiful house! So cozy and clean! The outdoor fire pit was a major plus! Best location! No one complaints! We will definitely to come back and stay this house again! Great space! Rented this property for 3 nights as we had a wedding in Troy. We were a family of 7, all adults. The kitchen was fully equipped which I always appreciate. Trash was easy. House WiFi was great and much needed as our phones were out of service a lot. It’s a new home so everything is perfect, neat and easy to manage.

We loved our stay at Fern Cottage! We stayed-my husband and I, along with our five children. Everything was clean, there was room for everyone, a great set up downstairs for the kids to play in, and the fire pit was a fun feature to use at night. The only suggestion I would make is to add more pans, mixing bowls and utensils -such as an ice cream scoop ! We would absolutely recommend this place and be eager to stay here again if we are in the area! Thank you, Holly!

Family reunion with 8 originally coming and 6 staying at the house. Great layout, equipped kitchen, clean and spacious. Attractively landscaped and supportive WiFi. Easy, convenient drive to Gordonsville, Downtown Charlottesville, Zion's Crossroads and multiple wineries. Due to rain didn't try the horse back riding trail. Host was a call away, but not needed. Would stay again!!

I hosted a bridal shower at Merrie Mill Farm and Vineyard. This property is so close to several vineyards. It was also very close to family we have in the area. It was roomy, modern, beautiful. We would definitely try to stay again.

We were all very comfortable in this wonderful home.

We had a group of six adults and three toddlers. The house was perfect for us! So much room to spread out and a full carpeted basement for the kids to play. The beds are all extremely comfortable and the home is clean and well stocked. Our host, Holly, was communicative and helpful with our questions. We look forward to staying at Fern Cottage again!

Great gathering space

We were in town for a wedding and stayed at this property with family. It was so clean and well decorated. The shared spaces are open. The beds were very comfortable. The owners have great touches, like tons of games and puzzles. And a fire pit out back! This is a fantastic house.

The accommodations were perfect for our pre-thanksgiving family gathering. Everyone had a wonderful long weekend.
