Historic Meredith Home: Walk to Town Center!

The location is great and walkable to Church's Landing and the commercial area of Meredith. The pictures make the home look a lot better than it is - the building is very old and the upstairs (bedrooms) has very low ceilings and the entire structure looks like it is slanting forward. The stairs are hard to carry any kind of suitcase up - they are narrow and there is low clearance. The upstairs bathroom does not have a shower (just a tub) so that everyone has to go downstairs to shower. The neighborhood is great to walk into Meredith, but I wouldn't call it charming - structures all look very beat up.

Location can’t be beat. Just steps to do many restaurants, grocery store and the lake. Comfortable beds and furniture and a well stocked kitchen. I’d definitely stay here again!

My family and I had a good experience in this home. It's walking distance to town, which is something that we looked for. The home had many beds, 2 bathrooms, but only 1 shower. However the 7 of us made it work. The house could have been a little cleaner, but overall, our stay was comfortable.

The ceiling height of the property was not accurately described. My husband is 6’3” and he had to duck throughout the house. I am 5’1” and could easily touch the ceilings. It has two bathrooms but only 1 shower. The house was filled with spiders inside and out the the kitchen had sugar ants everywhere.

Great cozy little home in Meredith. Walking distance to most things around the area. Stayed here for pond hockey classic on Lake Waukewan. We had 9 adults and so it was a bit tight but not too bad, and it was manageable. The bunk bed was a bit sketchy for an adult on the top bunk. Everything was easy and great otherwise. Easy to check in and check out. Tip: separate recycling (glass, cans, and plastic) before taking it to the local waste management. 3 stars are for when the toilet downstairs did not refill with water after flushing, and the shower downstairs ran water, but did not drain. Likely due to the very cold weather Friday into Saturday. This happened on the 3rd morning of our 4 day stay. We reached out to the guest contact, Laura, and she did her best to help us out. We notified her immediately after the discovery, and within 30 minutes she was there to give us a portable heater, thinking it might be frozen plumbing. After that didn’t work, she let us know she tried calling the owner to schedule a plumber but could not get through to them. So 9 adults had to share the upstairs bathroom, and only had a soaking bathtub for the rest of the weekend. A bit of an inconvenience. Other than the bathroom incident, it was a good place to stay

This weekend was amazing! What a great way to end summer with close friends and family. The check-in process was easy, and everything they stated would be there was there (and more). Communication prior to arriving was accurate and thorough. The location was walking distance to down town Meredith which made it easy to get around. I would highly recommend this rental!

We didn’t get to Meredith until late on Thursday around 8:30 PM. Absolutely nothing except McDonald’s was open on Thursday night in the summer by 9 PM. The purpose of wanting to stay at this property was because it was walkable to downtown
