Stayed Aug 4, 2021The house is lovely and right in the middle of the old center of town. Nice kitchen and bathroom. Beautiful walks, great cycling and swimming in the rockpools.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed in this house for 11 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is a lovely traditional house tucked into the old town, and all the stairs kept us fit. Loved our daily walks to the local watering holes for a swim, and coffee and pastries in the town. Thanks very much

Stayed Sep 1, 2018We have been travelling through France and Italy for 3 months so far as a family of five and would rate our stay in Pigna at the top of the list of Airbnb experiences. It was clean, very homely, gorgeous location and everything had been thought of. All of our communication with Gillian was very prompt and all in all it was an outstanding experience for us. Our most authentic Italian town so far and one place we will definitely come back to one day! We swam at the watering hole every day which is a lovely 10 minute walk along old cobbled streets and had the most incredible gelato almost every day. There is a cute little local bar and Alimentari 2 minutes walk away. A very memorable experience for us. Thank you so much Gillian. We will definitely recommend this lovely spot ???

Stayed Jul 15, 2017We had a three week stay in Gillians house in Pigna which is a really a favourable place to be. The house it self is cute, well equipped and perfectly fits to the spot ... which is a fine one, concerning its distance to the mediterranean sea, Ventimiglia, Menton and both ( italian/french) sides of the riviera. We also visited some spots in the nearer environment of Pigna ( Castel Vittorio, Dolceaqua, the cinque vallies etc. ) and loved the river Nervia and its little creeks ... So, to summarize all : we will definitly come back in the near future. A presto!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I'll start this review with a caveat, in that my wife Silvia and I are experienced, occasionally long-suffering, travelers and house-renters, and speaking for myself, age has made me rather particular (some might say fussy). We married in Pigna three years ago, so were very excited to be coming back to stay for the first time with two additions to our family, Alice & Arthur. Gillian was very helpful and communicative making sure we had relevant telephone numbers and contact details for Georgia (her Pigna based house manager who was wonderful), and was fabulous supplying and putting up two cots for us to use and a high chair which made our stay so much more comfortable (so 10 out of 10). Furthermore, we left Pigna to travel to Umbria but enjoyed being there so much decided to come back for another 10 days (but sadly in another house owned by someone else) but Gillian made sure the cots and high chair were lent to us in that house as well; we appreciated the gesture enormously. The house itself is arranged over four floors, with the kitchen conveniently for us, on the ground floor. We enjoy cooking and didn't want for anything. The bedrooms were cool, and the master bedroom had lovely sash windows opening up delightful views of the town and surrounding woodland and most importantly a big comfy bed. Likewise, the living room on the top floor, with even better views, was comfortable and stylish. The bathroom was clean and pleasant. Pigna itself is full of confusing little allies and walkways to the newcomer but Gillian's house is super accessible at the top of the village close to the piazza, so convenient for loading and unloading the car. Our experience was wholly positive and enjoyable and we wouldn't hesitate to come back to the same house when we inevitable return. As for Pigna, it is an idiosyncratic Ligurian working town, full of curious welcoming locals (a rare thing) and hidden charms; it crumbles and creaks in places as you'd expect from a medieval town but is delightful, historic and charming, surrounded as it is by fabulous mountains with hidden rock pools, waterfalls and wildlife. We loved our stay and will be back for certain!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Absolutely stunning location, gorgeous town house and the owners really have thought of everything. Exceptionally clean, all the amenities you could possibly need and plenty of friendly people in the town and surrounding areas. My husband and I had an unforgettable stay here at the start of August and we will definitely return! The location is perfect for exploring the Italian - and French - riviera!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really loved Gillian's house in the old mediaeval town of Pigna. No cars, just the sound of people talking as they walked by. The house was well equipped and renovated to a high standard. We particularly loved the living room with its splendid views over the surrounding countryside.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a great week in Pigna, the house was all that we expected, cleaan and tidy and with great views, and I for one enjoyed the bells. Although Pigna is small it is lively in the summer with several bars and restaurants, and surprisingly we found both affordable. The coast in is only 20 minutes away from where you can catch a train along the Riveria coast. The owners are very helpful and really easy to deal with, absolutely no hesitation in recommending this property, in fact I already have to several friends.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Pigna is a quaint, beautiful town full of charm and character. I couldn't believe how friendly everyone was. This town house possesses all of the same charm and character that Pigna does. It also has all facilities that you need to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. The lady who greeted us was very helpful and friendly as well as knowledgeable of the local area. There is lots to do round about Pigna too. The natural swimming pools were idyllic as was the concert that we went to at one of the beautiful, ancient churches. We also popped over to Monte Carlo and Nice! All in all a fantastic holiday!
