Historic Home in Downtown Franklin - Walk to ALL the Charm & Convenience

We really enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable home. Very close/walking distance to downtown. Everything was just as advertised.

Can’t beat the location on this beautiful historic home. Large rooms that were very comfortable. Wonderful front porch to sit and do porch patrol. Easy walk to everywhere in the very charming downtown. Great place to meet up with family. We had a blast!

While we appreciate the character of an older home, the condition of this property did not align with how it is presented online. The home appeared more run down than expected, with worn furnishings and a level of cleanliness that made the space uncomfortable for our family.Similar concerns appear in prior reviews, which suggests these issues are ongoing rather than isolated. Because of this, we chose to shorten our stay.With thoughtful updates, improved upkeep, and clearer expectations set in the listing, this could be a much better experience. Until then, guests seeking a well-maintained and accurately represented property may want to proceed carefully.

The host is great! Very responsive! The home is charming and very comfortable and well appointed (lots of activities and so close to downtown Franklin).

This is a spectacular property. Unfortunately for me, its location was so far away from the award show and the highway traffic at night in the rain, was a no stay for me. I opted to get a room closer to the grand old Opry, and forfeit my fee for two nights. While that may sound absurd, I am older and the highway driving at night horrified me. I left for my own driving safety. But, this was a personal choice. My sister had decided not to come and I was alone. it has nothing to do with the beautiful property. I do wish the cleanup fee would be refunded as I only went in for a minute and left. I will inquire about it. PS. My Bluegrass Band friends won BIG!

The location of the house was perfect. It had enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate 5 adults. Very nice property. Clean with everything we could want.

Lots of room plenty of places for our stuff. Nice kitchen. Our contact person excellent. The drawers in bedrooms need emptying out. Great location.

GOOD LOCATION

We are from Arkansas and stayed here during my son’s wedding weekend. It’s is a Beautiful home and was in walking distance of the church and our son’s rehearsal dinner. It was the perfect place to stay for such a special weekend. The host was great to communicate with and very accommodating. Can’t wait for our next visit!

The location can't be beat. Walkable to historic Franklin. A quick drive to many other sites. The house is very spacious inside. Plenty of places to sit and hang out. The kitchen is well stocked. Each bedroom is large. There is off street parking. We loved swinging on the porch swing watching the world go by.

The location and ease of this property was wonderful! We walked to Franklin often and really enjoyed the location. The owners were kind and made the stay very easy! It is an old historic house so there are creaks and character that make it a fun place to stay. Our only suggestion is the property could use some upkeep on the outside and some freshening up of furniture and paint on the inside. The beds were very comfortable

The location is great. We walked multiple times to downtown Franklin. The bedrooms are big. The bathrooms are clean. The kitchen/dining area is spacious with a large island. We enjoyed the historic architecture of this late 1800's home. We were here for four nights on the weekend our son was getting married. Good memories.

The perfect location for celebrating my daughter’s graduation from Belmont University. Walking distance to all the local restaurants in historic Franklin. Easy access to the interstate. Very comfortable historic home.

We had such a fun family weekend in this historic home! We traveled w a grandma with some mobility issues, 2 parents, and a 20 something daughter. We each had space to sleep in nice, comfy beds. When our son and daughter-in-law came to visit, we all had space to gather together. The house has been around long enough that some rooms are obvious add-ons so there’s a slight step up or over a “speed bump” when moving around the house. Also a little issue with door handles falling off (though they are lovely handles!)Only one room has an en-suite bathroom, the other was down the hall and around the corner for use I get to at night. Would love to know more about the history of this place because I bet it’s seen all kinds of events! It needs a little extra love to bring it back to full glory but we enjoyed it like an old friend!

Great house close to town.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The house is a historic property with so many interesting features. We loved the fact that it was walking distance to the town. Our hosts were very responsive :)

What a wonderful experience! Great old home (circa 1895 with an updated kitchen and baths), perfect walkable location to the center of Franklin and the Civil War sights, and a helpful host!

A lovely spot - we all enjoyed it immensely and can’t wait to visit again.

Because of all the events of the wedding, we weren't at the house a whole lot, but what time we were there was delightful. We were all very comfortable, even with only two bathrooms for 8 people. Plenty of hot water for showers. I wish we had been able to come one day earlier to enjoy the town of Franklin and the house. But the Wedding---oh, the wedding! It was beautiful!

This is a sprawling, single story home built in 1895 and located on Main street surrounded by lovely stately homes and within an easy walk to downtown Franklin. We enjoyed eating at McCreary's Irish pub; Gray's on Main and Pucketts. A 20 minute drive thru beautiful rolling fields leads you to the very small community of Leipers Fork, where you should go see live music at Fox & Locke.

Old friends had a delightful visit however on VRBO pictures of house were probably taken 20 years ago.

Very large and roomy historic home. Bathroom arrangement was very convenient for sharing. Kitchen was stocked well. Host was very communicative. Loved that it was a very short walk to downtown.

We enjoyed your house. Refrig & freezer needed a better cleaning but really ok. There were only 4 of us. Myself & 2 sisters with 1 spouse. We are all in our 80’s so getting around in Franklin by car was difficult for us but we did enjoyed our stay.

My family absolutely adored this home! The personal details had everyone oohing and ahhhhing! We had the best time for a weekend wedding. Thank you for having us!

A weekend getaway with friends in Franklin. We stayed over Labor Day Weekend and had a blast. The kitchen was the prefect hangout spot in the evenings. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. There were some general maintenance items that need attention and overall cleanliness issues. Even with that, we still enjoyed our stay.
