Franklin, Tennessee
Originally built in 1900, this beautiful Victorian home is the closest to downtown Franklin that sleeps 6+ than any other property which is a 10 min walk to food & shops #1 lodging destination for wedding groups in Franklin ! The home sits where General Stewart once led his troops in the Battle of Franklin during the Civil War. Well maintained with modern upgrades you'll find a 550 sq ft screened in back porch.
The property is great for business, families, wedding/bachelorette weekends and larger groups (girls weekends, conferences, church retreats). Inquire about video/photoshoot location.
Additional property locally that sleeps 17 on 11 acres
Very nice location and property if your looking at staying close to downtown Franklin.
This property is in a great location and easy to walk to the shops, restaurants, etc. The owner was very proactive in his communication. We would stay again.
We had a very quick trip to Franklin for a weekend sports tournament. We wish he had more time in the house to take advantage of the amenities and location. We loved the screen porch and very comfy beds. The kitchen was well stocked and there were even two options of coffee makers (Keurig and regular drip). My only recommendation would be to add bedside lamps for those who like to read at night.
Girls weekend for my mother in laws 85th birthday. Adorable house, great location and neighborhood. The screened in porch was our favorite spot! Had everything we needed, very clean, comfortable beds, nicely decorated.
it was wonderful!
Wow, this property was our absolute favorite VRBO experience ever. The house was VERY clean. The sunroom was a perfect place to eat our meals and just hang out. I loved being able to smell the crisp clean air and hear the birds chirping but not actually be outside. The beds were comfortable and clean. They felt better than a nice hotel which is very unusual for a VRBO. We typically stay in very nice hotels when we travel alone (4 seasons Esqe) but with kids we stay at VRBOS so we can have more space. The owners left plenty of Keurig coffee (what a relief) and the checkout instructions were not complicated. We've had awful checkout instructions and it was so nice to be able to easily check out. The area was very quiet and felt extremely safe. It was close to downtown Franklin and the most amazing park for our 6 year old. The neighbor in the guest house behind this house was SO KIND and she had the sweetest dog. Our experience was so good, I think we are going to move to Franklin. Make sure to read the guide book when you get there. The history of the house sets the mood for really enjoying its eclectic historic vibe. It tells a fun story. I was happy to be part of it! Thank you Kyle for taking such good care of your VRBO guests!
Staying in this cozy home was incredibly refreshing for my husband and me. The proximity to great restaurants, the quaint walks around the neighborhood, and the comforts of “home” were just a few of the highlights of our stay. It felt like a dream and we will definitely come back.
On our long drive to this property, we were contacted by manager Kyle, who informed us that a 500-year flood had just hit the area the night before. Kyle (who was in California, several time zones earlier than ours) created an alternate plan for us should the property be affected by Franklin’s sewage system challenge. Fortunately, the property—and most of the town—was fine. We found the home to be spacious enough for us four adults and the toddler—and that beautiful screened-in porch came in handy when some of our North Carolina family showed up to surprise us for our 25th anniversary. (They rented a place down the street.) There were two double beds in the third bedroom, and a sofa in the living room, so a larger family would be comfortable as well. The dining room became a playroom and was ample space for the meals on chilly nights. (And our daughter surprised us by hiring a chef for our anniversary dinner—Chef loved the well-laid out and appointed kitchen!) The bathrooms were nicely updated and the master one quite spacious, and the location was a lovely ten-minute walk from downtown. Pinkerton Park, very close by, was endless fun for the kids and also has a fascinating Civil War earthworks. We were 30 minutes from Lake Radnor and Cheekwood, our favorite destinations, and Nashville is maybe 40 minutes away so day trips were a breeze. Kyle continued to check in and was always available during our four-day stay. His automated instructions for clean-up were friendly and clear, and he also handled an overpayment promptly. This was our best VRBO experience, and Kyle deserves a sixth star for grace under pressure as he handled the suspense about possible flood damage from across the country. We had a thoroughly enjoyable anniversary celebration—topped off not only by our surprise party, but the news received on that front porch that we will be welcoming a grandson in October!
We enjoyed great family time, staying here, for a family wedding in town. Kyle really thought of every little detail to make the place seem like home away from home. The screened in porch was a wonderful gathering spot for our crew! We plan to stay here again! One of our favorite spots, so far on VRBO!
The owners were extremely attentive & helpful. Trustworthy & such a fun spot to be centrally located! House was as pictured & not one complaint. Thank you Kyle for a great stay!
