A beautiful historic home in a safe neighborhood, surrounded by homes of amazing architecture. An easy walk to a cafe/coffee shop. A quick drive to everything. The home is lovely, small but spacious. An inviting and quiet screened porch overlooking a private backyard. Modern kitchen thats fully equipped for easy meal prep. Comfortable furnishings with two large bedrooms and nice bathrooms. Charming. Everything we needed and more.

The house was clean. The property we felt was overgrown, including some dead tree limbs that if they were to fall could cause harm. A cleanup of the back area would make the back porch more enjoyable than it was.The electrical in the house was a little concerning since the receptacles that we used would not hold a plug tightly and one lamp in the bedroom only worked, if my wife kept pressing it in. The overhead light in the kitchen would go off and later come back on, not sure what that is.The furniture in the living room all needs to be replaced. The loveseat recliner, when you recline you end up having to roll off it, because the handle to lower it does not work on either side. The other chairs in the room are obviously old and have lost their comfort level. If this sounds petty then I am sorry. But we came to relax and for us, sometimes leaning back and reading or watching TV is a pleasure for us, that was not possible at this house. The bed in the lower bedroom creaks every time you move and could use some tender loving care to tighten it up.As for the location, it puts us within walking distance of downtown and many beautiful neighborhoods with amazing homes. We enjoyed New Bern, so that was a plus.As for the communication with the management that was OK, but not satisfied when it came to my concerns regarding the loveseat problems. We ended up leaving a day early, not because of New Bern, but because spending and our last planned night made no sense t

We chose this lovely house for my birthday celebration and it was so very nice. The entire house is nicely furnished and quite comfortable. We spent most of our time enjoying the back porch. The location is quite walkable to nice restaurants and through historic neighborhoods. We would definitely book again.

We were in town for the 3rd time participating in the Historical New Bern MS 100 Mile Ride. In previous years, we stayed outside New Bern; this year, we wanted to be close to town. I found the home on VRBO, and it fit us, four adults, perfectly. It is a charming older home with modern amenities and just a bike ride from Union Park. Our host, Patricia, was very responsive and accommodating. When we return, we will be sure to reserve this home again.

Lovely neighborhood with lots of friendly homeowners willing to say hi and give local recommendations. Everything you could possibly need is included in the home including comfortable beds. Had a wonderful time in New Bern. The house was very cute and historic. I didn't realize the downstairs bathroom was situated in the kitchen area. There are pictures, but I think it should have been stated as well. It was manageable for a 2 day stay, but I wouldn't stay there if it was longer than that. The house was walking distance to everything which was great!

My wife and I stayed here while we visited New Bern as a possible retirement spot. House was just perfect for us. We had brought a family member who needed a 1st floor bed/bath. Close enough to walk the entire town. Easy checkin. Will opt for this again.
