Historic Cottage with Private Courtyard and Parking by Lucky Savannah

Traveling to return my daughter and dog to her studies at SCAD, this was a perfect option! An historic duplex with plenty of modern amenities, comfortable beds, designated parking (a huge plus in Savannah!) and a fenced-in back yard which was such huge because our our dog. It's convenient to the campus, dining, museums, shopping and the airport. We're looking at future dates for travel to visit our daughter, and if available, we plan to stay at the same cottage. It was wonderful!

Great space for the three of us and we invited friends in for drinks/nibbles before going out. Kitchen is sufficient (we enjoyed going out) and first floor queen bedroom was great. Second floor king bedroom good too. We had to reschedule A/C at night to ensure 'upstairs' stayed cool. All in all GREAT spot and GREAT LOCATION!!!

This was the first time that I stayed on this side of Forsyth Park. It turned out to be a great location that was within walking distance of everything I wanted to visit. I traveled with a friend and the layout of the bedrooms was perfect for providing us each with privacy (one bedroom and bath on the first floor, a second bedroom and bath on the second). The kitchen worked well for our needs. It wouldn't be a great kitchen to cook in -- but with so many good restaurants in Savannah, cooking was not a high priority!The whole property was very clean and I really appreciated that the bathroom provided space to store toiletries, etc. Someone clearly thought about this need. The parking area beside the house was a major plus -- and the design made getting in and out very simple. I greatly appreciate that the rental accommodates dogs -- my dog became a Savannah dog almost instantly.Every contact that I had with Lucky Savannah staff was friendly and professional -- and inquiries were responded to very promptly. I did not need to contact them during my stay as there were absolutely no glitches with the property. I plan to return to Savannah -- and I would happily seek out this property for that return.

Walkable to just about everything in the HD. House was clean, well-furnished (comfortable beds) and had a great outdoor patio space with grill. The designated parking on the side of the house is a great feature as street parking can be iffy at times. If we had one negative...and it's a small one...the cooking utensils (pots/pans) are worn and need to be replaced. Otherwise, everything else was in great working order. This charming historic property was perfect for our family holiday visit to Savannah. Thank you.

Reviewer Comments: Molly’s Cottage feels off the beaten path yet within walking distance to Forsyth Park and River St. We appreciated the owners’ efforts to document the house’s storied past. Dedicated parking spot is a great amenity.Living room did not feel small or confining and offered comfortable furniture. A first floor queen bedroom had adequate drawer and closet space. An extra blanket would be a nice addition for cool nights. The TV in the room is really small and difficult to see from bed. The loft bedroom on the 2nd floor is accessed by a set of steep stairs. Otherwise, the space upstairs was surprisingly large, with a king bed and full bath. Ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms were nice to have.Galley style kitchen is small but functional, amenities for cooking a little limiting, A better set of knives and cooking utensils would be nice. While we never expect a fully supplied kitchen, providing coffee filters and a small packet of Savannah Roasters coffee would be a nice touch, as we usually find in other Lucky Savannah rentals. The in-wall cabinet where cookware and silverware are stored needs work! The bottom shelf is smaller than the cabinet and it looks like an unfinished (and dirty) attempt to make storage. A better fitting bottom shelf and some new paint would make a huge difference.Outdoor space is nice, with a table, chairs and umbrella. Great for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. While some complained about noise from the automotive business behind the house, we did not find it annoying. The addition of some outdoor lighting would make it useable after dusk and to enjoy an evening meal outdoors.Molly’s Cottage is a quaint house. We recognize that historic houses have limitations and the rich character found in the old stone fireplaces and hand cut oak floors make the experience of staying in Savannah part of its charm. A few minor updates would certainly elevate the Cottage’

Very nice place..would stay again.

Property was close to Forsyth Park. Parking was tight. The house needed a deep clean, especially floors and bathrooms. Furniture needs to be replaced in living room and dining area - old worn and dirty, dining table worn and old, rug in kitchen dirty. Patio was nice but very overgrown. I would recommend only if property was cleaned and updated.

This cottage was so cute and comfortable. It was a great (and safe) location. The perfect size and very clean. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great stay in Savannah!

The location was perfect for us, allowing us walking access to the area. The home was ok and workable. Don't plan on cooking much as there are limited cookware, etc. The supplies in general felt low ie paper products, towels, linens etc. That is a dissappointment and leaves me feeling not particularly welcomed. That is part of the experience I do care about. I have stayed in many homes that take this extra effort and it tends to show in all things. Those get 5's, thus a place like this gets a 4 or so.... We did enjoy our stay!

Lovely stay! We stayed here when we were invited to a wedding. This little historic cottage was within walking distance to all the great restaurants and sight seeing must does in Savanah! They even gave a great history of the property and properties around it. Meaning how things have changed since it was built, but as a history buff I loved the knowledge. The location….!! walking distance everywhere and when I say walking distances I mean don’t blink you will miss something you should have noticed in Savannah! Enjoy this little gem because it will give you everything

Great location, quiet neighborhood. The cottage is comfortable and cozy. The stairs to the king bed are a little steep and require caution going up and down, especially when toting luggage. The cottage is well appointed and had everything needed for a relaxing stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It is walking distance to many beautiful parks, great restaurants, and a mile from a nice grocery store. I recommend taking a trolley tour at the front end of your stay so you can see how close everything is to this property.

We stayed at Mollys Cottage 4 nights including Christmas and had a pleasant stay. The location and property management responsiveness was exceptional. I would caution families with small children or elderly members from choosing Mollys cottage because of the steep stairs, however if your travel group is free of mobility concerns then Mollys is a perfect pick!

A great place for our trip to Savannah with friends. The on site parking was a big plus and we really enjoyed the courtyard in back.

The Cottage was spacious, very clean, and incredibly comfortable. Best of all, it was in a great location just a few blocks from the Forsyth Park fountain. We could walk almost everywhere we wanted to. As others have said, the stairs leading up to the loft are a little steep, but they're fine as long as you're careful. We also appreciated the parking space next to the cottage, as well as the nice courtyard. Another bonus -- the restaurant Noble Fare, which is within walking distance, was the best meal of our entire trip to Charleston and Savannah. We highly recommend staying at Molly's Cottage! Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in Lucky Savannah properties and have always been very satisfied. We even stayed at this rental 3 years ago for 3 weeks. It was old and slightly run-down but it was built in the 1880’s :). This time, however, it was structurally unsafe and it had not been properly cleaned. In addition, the front door lock is very tricky and sticky and when you think you’ve locked it, it’s not actually locked.

The home was exactly as described. It came fully stocked with everything needed for a comfortable visit. We would definitely stay again.
