Stayed Dec 30, 2025Excellent accommodation in the heart of Savannah. There was plenty of space for our group of 12 to spread out and truly relax, and we especially appreciated that each bedroom had its own private bathroom. The location couldn’t have been better—within easy walking distance of downtown’s shops, restaurants, and attractions, and literally across the street from the River District. For those traveling with a car, the on-site garage with space for two vehicles was a huge convenience. The outdoor area was another highlight, featuring ample seating, a BBQ, and a fire pit—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Highly recommend this property, and we would absolutely stay here again the next time we’re back in town.

Stayed Nov 25, 2025We had an awesome Thanksgiving week in Savannah and this property was a big reason why. Plenty of space for nine of us (3 couples, 3 college students). It’s an old house with great charm. Weather was nice so we got to spend time on large back patio chatting and eating as well as the sun room porch. Garage was big too. It’s on Bay Street so traffic was a bit loud in the morning but that’s part of being so close to everything. We walked to 8 parks on a historic downtown scenic stroll and was very convenient. We spent some time by river which is right across street and 10-15 walk to Plant Riverside for food/drinks and holiday decorations. If you’re looking for something really convenient near all the historic parts of Savannah this is hard to beat. The pool we had access to was 30-45 minutes away in Tybee so never went there.

Stayed Sep 25, 2025Dream location. We were so close to River Street, shops, restaurants, and the historic district. It was super convenient to walk to most of the touristy spots without having to keep getting in and out of a car.Easy access & parking. The entry process was smooth (keypad/lock access was a big plus), and the off-street parking meant we didn’t stress about where to leave our vehicles.Room to roam. With five generous bedrooms (each with its own full bathroom!), a comfy living room, dining space, and a sunroom opening to the courtyard, we never felt cramped—even with all of us together.Character & charm. The historic touches (wood beams, classic architecture) gave the place a real personality. It felt like you were staying in a piece of Savannah’s heritage, but with modern updates.Pool perk. While the pool isn’t right on site, the access to a resort-style heated pool on Tybee Island was a nice bonus for when we wanted a beach-vibe break. If you and your crew like classic, atmospheric homes and planning to explore the city more than lounge inside, this place really delivers. For a girls’ trip with lots of exploring, wine nights, and laughter, Spanish Moss Inn is a gorgeous and memorable pick.

Stayed Jun 12, 2025We had an excelent all around experience! The communication was great from begining to end! The home was gorgeous, very clean and a ton of space for all to get away from each other but come together for meals or games. The kitchen was very spacious to have a few people preparing meals. The bedrooms were all decorated with beautiful historic furniture. The bedrooms all had their own bathroom. I wanted to stay in the lower level but the showers in the lower level and the 3rd floor had very tiny showers. We stayed on the second floor with a full bathtub and shower. Access to the house was simple and the location was just walking distance from everything! The historic area is amazing! We would highly recommend this house to others! I have already told some friends we need to make another trip back to Savannah and stay in the same house.

Stayed May 6, 2025Friends for over 50 years stayed at this wonderful home. Everything was wonderful, from the communication, check-in through check-out reminders. The only downside was the busy street the house was located on, BUT that was easily ignored since we were located so close to the waterfront and the historic district. Had a great stay and would highly recommend this house.

Stayed Apr 21, 2025My group of 7 had a fine time in Savannah. The house we stayed at was not in the best shape. This is the list all 7 of us came up with.Several hand towel hooks are broke. One bathroom tub stopper was broken, there were 3 stopper in various bathrooms missing. The maintenance man brought 2 stoppers but only one worked. Frayed wire on a lamp in one of the bottom bedrooms. Could be a fire hazard.TV did not work in our bedroom for 3 days, the maintenance man had to come to repair it 2 times and he finally switched out the tv with a bottom bedroom tv.There was construction material around the backyard and side yard, and garage. The faucet in the kitchen is very loose. The maids or inspection person should have caught it.Light bulb out in the formal dining area.Patio umbrellas are filthy. There was one hairdryer not working. In one bathroom there was one washcloth for the whole week.No cereal bowls. There are torn curtains and peeling paint throughout the house. All people really liked the towels. We also enjoyed having the garage to park.Thank You

Stayed Apr 26, 2025College gals celebrating 42 years of friendship! So rare to find a house with 5 beds and baths in a great location. We were able to walk to several restaurants and shops. The staff was quick to answer any questions we had. Check in was a breeze. Now, this is a very old house and there are LOTS of steps, so if you have mobility issues it may not be the right choice for you. There are old house quirks, but it adds to the charm. The kitchen is well appointed. Many folks said the house was too warm, but we felt the air conditioning worked just fine. There are plenty of fans also if you need more cooling. It is very nice to have private parking too….a rarity in Savannah.

Stayed Apr 12, 2025The location of this property was great. Within walking distance to everything downtown and the Riverfront. We did experience some issue while there. We couldn't use the dishwasher or kitchen sink for the first 2days. It was repaired however it was done while we were trying to have a family dinner. Also during our stay the gardener decided it was time to trim all the hedges and bushes, which made for a very noisy morning. The house is old, but the floors were not the cleanest and some of the bathrooms smelled moldy.

Stayed Feb 7, 2025In our family there were five (5) cousins born the same year. We celebrate vacations together with our spouses at various destinations. This year we met in Savannah, Georgia. We stayed at the Spanish Moss House on E Bay Street. The house is well equipped for dining in, a patio with bistro tables on the back of the house, a front porch for people watching, a short walk to River Street and accommodations for five couples to be very comfortable. This historic home is roomy and comfortable, and the decor is fitting for the era of the home.Robinson Family

Stayed Oct 17, 2024We came for a family wedding. The home was walking distance from the venue and nearby shops and restaurants. It is nice to have a place to stay that still provides each person the privacy they would not have at a hotel without several rooms. We were very happy with our stay.

Stayed Sep 17, 2024Property is so conveniently located to River St. that you can walk everywhere. Once we parked the car in the garage we did not get back in it until we left Savannah. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.
