This was a central location and a historical building. Very Charleston. The host was flexible and understanding about an emergency we had.

The apartment had plenty of room for our family. We were visiting to see our son who attends the Citadel and had multiple family members in town. The location, space and parking all were great.

Our family of four stayed at this property for 3 nights. We had plans to have friends join us, but with travel they couldnt make it. The space is large enough for 2 families of 4. The livingroom couch was enough seating for just the 4 of us. We enjoyed a few meals at the very large diningroom table. When we first arrived we did have to call for some maintenance help, and the property management team was fast to respond to our messages, and a tech was at our door within 10 mins. The quickest response time. He took care of us and was pn his way shortly after. The building has charm and is within walking distance to everything we needed. Would stay again.

I will start by saying, I do realize that we booked an old historic home that obviously will have some quirks and oddities. I did not expect anything to be new or newly built. I will also say that the communication with the owners was very good, and the house was clean. With that being said, we were pretty disappointed in how hot the house was. Charleston at the end of June is 1000 degrees, we were very aware of that. The AC in the home was marginal on a good day, and basically non existent in June. Two of the bedrooms had portable AC units and the main living area also had one. While they did keep the rooms cool, they were very loud all the time, as in zero quiet at any time. The bunk room only had a window unit and it was so hot my kids had to sleep on the couch. The AC did not work in the kitchen at all, so it was about 85 degrees or hotter, so it was not an option to stay in there for any length of time. The AC register in the ceiling in the bathroom constantly dripped water from the condensation. Again, I know this is an old house, but I do wish the portable AC units, window units, etc were discussed on the listing. We had to sit in our bedrooms when we were at the house to stay cool. What bothered me most about the trip was the host messaged me when we checked out to tell me they would leave me a five star review and if I had any issues with the house to message them privately and not post them publicly. Reviews are how we make our decisions, y’all deserve to know.

Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance of this rental. It was clean and spacious for a downtown rental. It was on the second floor and all rooms were on the same level. We had a large dining room table and were able to have a couple family members over for Thanksgiving meal. Rental comes with 2 parking spots and the was a parking lot around the corner on Ashley where you could pay to park. Great stay!

The house was great and equipped with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the upstairs porch was very relaxing! Good size backyard for games as well. Fantastic location with walking distance to downtown. Great trip!
