I had booked this apartment has a treat to my family (10 people) who was coming to visit Charleston and Savannah over the holidays. We stayed 5 days in Charleston. We loved the city but were disappointed with the apartment. The plus of this apartment are its location, itssize and easy communication. It is very well situated, a 5mn walk to the French Quarter. It is also fairly spacious and the communication with property manager was very easy. We were however very disappointed by the apartment. It is run down and is in reality two separate units, not one. We always try and find historical houses when we travel, we love their charm and are used to the inconvenience that sometimes come with it. This was the most run down we have ever stayed in. The shower in the smaller unit didn’t have hot water, heating system in the main unit doesn’t work well (it is extremely hot upstairs and pretty cold downstairs, and if you turn it down it is ok upstairs but really cold downstairs), the kitchen is run down and windows are damaged and cannot be open (both units). The kitchen equipment is also lacking if you intend to cook and eat in (we didn’t have enough sittings, dishes, silverware etc for 10). Based on the price (expensive), description and pictures we didn’t expect it.

The property was great! We had 10 family members staying in the home. The location is perfect and puts all of Charleston within walking distance. We had never stayed in an historical home and found it very charming. The host was extremely easy to work with and very responsive to any issues or questions.

The location of this property is outstanding and can’t be beat. In the heart of downtown and easily walkable everywhere! The history and charm of the house are so unique and we loved it. Well appointed with everything you need. Communication with owners was always speedy and easy. Our family would definitely stay here again.

Chick Trip, 8 of us, close to Harris Teeter for groceries and City Market and walking downtown to shop. Rental is UPPER LEVEL with 2 units: A = full kitchen, living area and dining, king bed, 2 bedrooms upstairs with 2 twins and 1 queen and 2 full baths. C = 2 rooms, queen beds, 1 full bath. LOTS of stairs. The only reason for a 4 rating on accuracy was that on the site it states 4 cars, and when we received the check-in email a week before there were only 3 cars allowed.

Set up of the house is a little wonky (if you stay with a large party, it’s actually two different units) but the location is excellent and everything was as expected. Would recommend!

Great location off King street. Lots of restaurants, cafes, bars, and shopping - ALL within walking distance. NEVER got in the car after arriving. The home had lots of character but was getting tired. Our only issue was the dishwasher - but we eat out ALOT. It didn't work on arrival nor repaired on departure.
