I need to give a two part review. First, the property was wonderful. Great location near Forsythe Park. It was roomy, and nicely appointed and quiet. The beds were comfortable and we loved the front/side porch. Second part isn't so great. The management company Southern Belle was not a great management company. The most important issue is that there was only ONE smoke alarm inside this rental. By Georgia State Law, there was supposed to be a smoke alarm in each bedroom, living area, kitchen and a fire extinguisher also in the home. I called to bring this issue up to them and they seemed put out by me bringing this to their attention. Also, they advertised a working washer and dryer and they were out of order. they argued with me that their description didn't include a washer and dryer and I had to send over my copy of the rental description. We were there for a family wedding and had to find a laundromat which was very inconvenient. I then asked for more towels since we didn't have a working washer and dryer and they had to get approval for this. And we had no working outlets in the one bathroom and they never fixed it during our stay. I loved the house, but be aware of any rentals by this management company. They are very shady and the rental still wasn't to the fire code when we checked out. BE AWARE.

I hate writing any reviews other than 5 star but there are definitely some things to note about this property for others looking…Pros: VERY close to Forsyth, very large dining room and spacious living room, ample towels. Cons: 1) It’s an apartment with units above and below and beside. Walls are PAPER thin. You can hear everything and when the person next door gets home, it sounds like someone actually entered your unit. I woke multiple times and had to check the front to make sure someone didn’t get enter our apartment. This wasn’t explicit in the listing. Our last night we spent 15 min knocking on the door of the person underneath bc at 130am, they were partying so loud, my infant and toddler (and myself/husband) couldn’t sleep…2) the listing shows on the map as in the north side of the park - which I was really picky about. Once it was 24 hours out - it showed the actual location which was completely in the south side. Not by the beautiful historic area I wanted to be at. 3) mold. Mold in the bathroom coming out of the AC. It had been painted over and the paint was chipping and coming off all around the bathroom. 4) stained and dirty carpet The company messaged me on our second night to ask if we needed anything, so I appreciate the attentiveness, however my issues weren’t anything they could fix in the 2nd night of a 3 night stay. I’m pretty disappointed by the misleading listing of the location and that it’s an apartment. I wouldn’t recommend this VRBO.

The home was roomy and beautiful for a home built in the 1800s. More attention to the detail of the home and amenities would’ve been nice such as soap dishes in the bathroom and kitchen. The front of the house was very cool while the bedrooms which are in the back of the house was not as cool and a bit stuffy or sleeping. My previous experiences with Vrbo has included more amenities in the kitchen. Our favorite spot was the veranda; Awesome place to unwind, relax and enjoy the Savannah breezes!

Enjoyed close proximity to Forsyth Park, but felt that the listing should have showed that it was on the South side of the park instead of the north end. We expected to be closer to the historic district. Enjoyed sitting on the porch. Would have appreciated a few bottled water and coffee pods; there were none. Linens were nice, but overall cleanliness was fair.

The location is convenient to Savannah’s historic district and Forsyth Park. Street parking was not a problem. A grocery store is nearby. The washer and dryer were not functional and need to be repaired or removed from the listing. As we were there a week, we were offered laundry service during our stay.

We had no idea when we booked our stay in this beautiful, charming historic home that we were coming at a time that the second largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the nation would be held. We were able to watch the bands stage from the window of this cozy lovely home. What an amazing view & experience!! Since it was cold, and we had an infant with us, they were able to stay inside and watch some of the festivities from the comfort of a warm home instead of braving the cold air. The proximity to Forsyth Park and beautiful historic districts added much to our vacation. It was also close to trolley stops. Everything was walkable, safe, and beautiful. The 4 1/2 of us had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy family time. We would highly recommend this rental for your Savannah trip.Management company was very quick to respond when we had questions or needed assistance.

The management team was super fast in answering all questions and did great job checking on us throughout stay to insure all was well. Really appreciate that. Plus, the accommodations were just as expected.

Excellent accommodations for our family of 4. Only item we would improve is the laundry & dryer (v. old and dryer makes an awful screeching sounds).

Great location to Forsyth park a little far to walk to riverside or city market but with stop’s between it was fine southern Belle kept us informed and lady upstairs very nice

The house was beautiful and vey cozy. The dryer wasn't working so that was disappointing. Didn't like that fact the pool access was in Tybee Island.

The day we were to arrive I received a message that the dryer wasn’t working, so we couldn’t do laundry. They did offer a one time complimentary laundry service…we didn’t use, but did need more towels since we were unable to do laundry. They brought us some upon request. The dog upstairs barked and howled for over 2 hours the first 2 nights we were there. When I reached out to the host they apologized and said they don’t own or manage that apartment. We thought the pool was in the backyard, not a 20 minute drive. We didn’t rent a car and everything was pretty walkable. Our stay was overall ok, just missing a lot of little touches that I am used to at a rental. No dish soap or hand soap(except 1 bar per bathroom) that was fine, but then should have supplied body wash. Also could have used some games, puzzles or something besides a few books. Also, it is an older home so there are no outlets in the bedrooms to charge phones. I don’t think I would choose to stay there again.

The cleanliness could’ve been just a tad more. The market at Forsyth Park was great to walk to on Saturday morning. The dryer was broken and would not be replaced for several days.

Lovely home in a great location. The downside was a neighbor who left her dog alone and the dog cried all evening. In addition, the clothes dryer didn’t function properly which was problematic. The rental management company was very responsive and helpful.

Spacious apartment with Surprisingly Clean floors, barefoot tested & approved. Nice bathroom remodeling. All appliances functional. Front porch AWESOME for morning coffee, afternoon tea, anytime relaxing. Easy walking distance to restaurant at park, coffee shop, and historic buildings. Parking Savannah-style with street sweeper schedule, not much trouble. Avoid hotels. Stay here.

The home was beautiful

A liitle difficulty enering premises but sorted in minutes. Well equipped property in great condition. Most sights are walkable but exelent transport options. Lovely house. Would recommend.

It is a beautiful property. Had some issues getting access but once that was resolved it was a wonderful getaway.

It was really cool. I like the fact that it was close to everything.

We enjoyed our stay. We were able to walk to most locations we wanted to see. If you plan to use the washer/dryer i would suggest you make sure it has been replaced. Dryer would not dry. The air conditioner was not cooling very well. The staff was very responsive and sent repair person. They also brought fans to help cool things off. Overall it was a very good trip and the home was charming and comfortable.

Walk to Forsyth Park and Historic Downtown

This property was perfect for my wife and I as we attended our daughter's wedding. Check-in was easy, the property was clean, and in a great location.

The property was in a great location and the rental company was very communicative. It is an older home and so I expected old house charm. The place did have noticible wear and tear. The closet doors in both bedrooms was missing a crystal door knob. The bathroom in the king room had broken hardware on the wall. The beds were comfortable, but the AC struggled a little in the Queen room. The shower head in the master could be upgraded. This property has potential, but needs just a tad more love. The rental company was fantastic and would book another property through them.

The unit was beautiful and the location was a quick walk to the bus stop. The beds were comfortable with lovely linens. Two, small issues: A bigger coffee maker would have been great, and we couldn’t find any laundry detergent in the unit.

We enjoyed our stay; a couple of suggestions:- light in vestibule at front door- two soaps in the bath with soap dish at sink- we spent a lot of time on the back porch and that needs a good clean. It was dusty and the blinds didn’t work- full sized coffee maker

The house is lovely and comfortable. There were four adults and it was perfect. Check-in to check-out was as advertised. My only request would be a larger coffee pot. Would stay again

The apartment next to the property was under renovations. The people working in the adjacent property left the door to the apartments open and asked me to leave it that way. This went on during my entire stay. I wasn’t comfortable mentioning it as I was a solo traveling female at some times and was already rattled The dishwasher didn’t seem to work, and the garbage drop off location wasn’t clear. The listing was disingenuous; the pool and hot tub facilities are 20 miles away from the property, and aren’t clearly labeled as such. I was unable to get a late check out so I spent 5 hours at the airport. Otherwise the property is very nice but in a quiet area.

Our first trip to Savannah! Great location! We could walk to Forsythe Park and around the historic district. Listing was accurate. Beds were comfortable and had everything we needed. Rental company was great! Would definitely recommend and will stay here when we visit Savannah.

We came to Savannah to escape the cold for a few days. We wanted to stay somewhere other than a hotel. This place was perfect for my wife and I and her parents. The only stairs were the ones going up the front porch. It was very comfortable inside where we watched ballgames in the living room, beds were soft and bathrooms were fine. Everything was very roomy. We didn't really use the kitchen or dining room but it's there. I was concerned about parking (I drive a bigger truck) before going. Parking was available on both sides of the street out front and that was simple enough. We felt like the area was safe. We would have used the front porch more had it been a little warmer. Be sure to bring your walking shoes for this city.

House was beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. Videos were helpful and answered all of our questions. Perfect location to take a stroll through Forsyth Park. Near lots of restaurants and shops. The only thing I would say is that the location is at the opposite end of the park as the map shows. Which would be the East Victorian District. Everything else was spot on and wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

The exterior of the building and the grounds were a disaster. I know the building was created in 1892 but maintenance is still required. The people that clean the property did a good job but the maintenance of the property inside was not good. I have a picture of the heating vent in the ceiling hanging by duct tape. As far as cleaning, the only real issues were a layer of dust on the fireplace woodwork on the top left in the master bedroom (I also have a picture) and soiled throw blankets in the master bedroom. I would attache photos if that feature was available. We definitely will not be renting this property again and we will be cautious about renting from you again.

Beautiful and large apartment in a great location.

We enjoyed our 3 day stay at this property in December. Location was excellent, across from Forsyth Park and walking distance to the hop on/hop off trolley so no need to move our rental car. Everything was available in the house we needed. Loved the southern charm. Only struggled with the lock system, better directions on how to use it would have helped. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

We loved how close this location was to Forsyth Park and appreciated the quiet neighborhood. There was unhinged air vent which was not an issue for us but the absence of a vacuum made things a bit challenging, especially with a 1-year-old. Overall, we had a great experience and were impressed by the decor and cleanliness of the space.

The house is very clean and beds are comfortable. Front porch was great to sit on. The kitchen had only the basics. Location was great we could walk everywhere we wanted to go! Communication was spot on. Welcome text, checked in to make sure all was good. Check out text as well.

The home is very nice and close to the main park for walking and other activities. The town is not far and good transportation by trolley if needed.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was clean and spacious. The location was awesome. The neighborhood was quiet. Easy to walk places and attractions in the historic district. Very comfortable. We had a blast!

Our party of four loved our stay at this property. It was clean, comfortable, quaint and spacious. The location was excellent with easy access to the attractions of Savannah. Forsyth Park is just around the corner and a beautiful place to take a stroll. We used the Dot transport to see the sites in Savannah's Historic District, as well as Uber when Dot transport was not running. We did not use the courtyard as there was work being done in the yard at the time of our stay, nor did we take advantage of the pool access. We did however really enjoy relaxing on the front patio. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms spacious. I'd say the only slight negative for us was that the kitchen was a little cramped, but this was not a deal breaker. The amount of room in the rest of the house and the exceptional access to tourist sites more than made up for that slight inconvenience. An excellent stay. 5/5
