This is not a good place for gatherings or parties so please keep that in mind when booking this home. We are very respectful of our neighbors and will not tolerate loud noise past curfew and additional guests at the property.

- Harbor Cafe (10 minute walk)
- Twin Lakes Beach (5 minute walk)
- Safeway, Whole Foods, etc. (10 minute drive)
- Santa Cruz Main Beach & Boardwalk (10 minute drive)

Other Things to Note:
- This unit is part of a duplex with a shared wall. You are steps away from one of the more popular beaches in town so the area can be lively during the day but generally stays quiet at night. There is no washer or dryer on site, but there is a laundromat right down the street. There is only one reserved parking spot and although street parking is free, additional parking can be hard to find during the busy months (since this is such a popular beach for locals).
- There is not outdoor seating area in front of the home for this unit.
- We are required to stick to our cancellation policy and we suggest adding trip insurance for any last minute issues that may impact your travel (Weather, Illness, etc). We are not able to cancel, move or refund bookings that do not fall in our cancellation policy for any reason.
- We have landscapers, pest service, and other property maintenance done on a weekly basis. You may see or hear these service professionals during your stay as they let themselves into the backyard to service as needed. Please be sure to ask about this before booking if you think it might be an issue for you.
- TV is a smart tv with streaming capabilities. There are no cable or local channels.
- The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety.

    Walk to restaurant (a good one, and rather iconic since it's been there a very long time - I grew up in the area) & walk to coffee, ocean, but out of the way of crowds for the most part. Clean place and comfortable.

    My wife and I wanted to spend our 42nd anniversary reliving some of our good times. We had vacationed with our 2 children and numerous other guests for years when previous owner (Billie Paul) rented unit. Unit is clean and updated which is a plus, updating items isn’t always an improvement. Years of sitting on downstairs deck and enjoying the weather and scenery have been replaced by a backyard bistro set with views of other houses. This is a duplex so one unit has had a balcony added, sadly not our unit. Parking is always going to be a problem at this rental, we were expecting it and hoped the unit would be available to at least park our car until the 4:00 check in time. We arrived early hoping that no other cars would be parked so we could go down to beach and walk around the marina without the hassles of parking. No cars were in parking area, we called and asked if we could at least park our car. It was a bit after 2:00 pm and we were told it would not be allowed. So we drove around and wasted time unable to find parking. We ended up being the only guests in both sides of duplex, at no time did anyone park in either spots, both were open unused until we checked in at 4:00. We did message OVR regarding the deck situation, we were told sorry about the misunderstanding and hoped we had a wonderful stay anyways. So our dealing with OVR was not stellar. It is a business and it feels like it. I thought VRBO was rentals by owners not rentals by management company’s.

    This place is in a great location across the street from the harbor and it is clean and well set up. I would have given it a rating of 5 stars, if the people in the adjacent unit had been reasonably quiet. When I arrived to check in at 4 pm, there was already a party going on next door. Although it was very loud and noisy with many people (the noise level and number of guests were not allowed in the rental agreement I signed), I could have tolerated it, if they had honored the quiet time at 9 pm. Nope, the party just got louder with loud music and people shouting (this seems to happen as people get more drunk). Unfortunately, I felt that I needed to contact the host as I would never be able to sleep and the noise was very disruptive to a pleasant experience at the unit. I got a quick response from the host and the noise ended about 11 pm. The host did provide a partial credit, which I appreciated.

    We owned in the area since 2007 but recently sold. We love coming back to a place we called home for so long and we hope to return. The area was fantastic, the road is a bit noisy but was expected being so close to the ocean and entertainment. Thanks so much.
