The Space:

Settle into a relaxed, coastal home ideal for families or a small group. You’ll have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and two lofted sleeping areas, plus ocean views from the guest bedroom. The layout encourages together time, with lofts open to the living area below.

Head outside to enjoy a backyard space with seating and an outdoor BBQ grill. When you’re ready to relax inside, you can enjoy some board games. Practical perks include WiFi and an on-site EV charger ( adapter no included - guests must bring their own adapter). Guests also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities, including multiple recreation centers with outdoor pools, walking trails, and beach access points.

Important Things to Note

• Stairs: The home has stairs, including a circular stairwell to the lofts. The lofted sleeping areas have half-wall openings to the living room below, so sound may carry.

• WiFi/Cell: Due to Sea Ranch’s remote coastal location, WiFi and cell service can be spotty or occasionally unavailable across the area.

• SMART TV available for guest streaming using their own credentials.

• Parking: Parking is available for up to 2 cars. Sea Ranch does not allow overnight street parking. No RVs, trailers, or mobile homes are allowed. Your guest packet (inside the home) includes parking and amenity details.

• Community amenities: Guests have access to Sea Ranch’s trail system, public beach access points, and three recreation centers with outdoor pools and sports courts (amenities vary by center). See the guest packet for maps, passes, and specific instructions.

• Beach access: There are 6 public beach access points within Sea Ranch. Use the provided trail maps and instructions in the guest packet for locations and entry points.

• Pet policy: This home is not pet friendly. If evidence of an animal is found during or after your stay, an additional cleaning fee will apply.

• EV charging: An EV charger is available on site. ( adapter no included - guests must bring their own adapter)

• Check in is at 4:00 PM and checkout is at 10:00 AM. We cannot guarantee or approve early check in or late checkout requests in advance.

• We recommend considering travel insurance, just in case any unexpected changes come up. We do stick to our cancellation policy and want to make sure you're covered!

• We provide bedding, towels and a small starter set of essentials to help get you settled. Feel free to message us for details on what’s included.

• Salt, pepper, and cooking oil are not provided unless otherwise noted.

Within about 5 minutes of 261 Whale Bone Reach in Sea Ranch, you can enjoy the Sea Ranch Bluff Trail to Walk On Beach and Stengel Beach (easy ocean-view walks and tidepools), Shell Beach (sheltered cove exploring), the whimsical Sea Ranch Chapel (quick family stop), Gualala Point Regional Park at the north end (beach/river-mouth picnics and whale-watching), and the Del Mar Recreation Center for pool and tennis (for Sea Ranch owners/guests).

    the house was bright and airy, and sleeps many with still feeling like there is privacy. We would definitely stay here again!

    House was fine and housed our family comfortably. Standard rental furniture which needs some upgrading as well as some of the rooms needed painting or sheet rock repairs. Heat in master bedroom did not work well. The master bedroom got uncomfortably hot in comparison to the rest of the house and could only be adjusted by opening and closing the windows. Also, the house is advertised on different social media sites as both accommodating 7 and 10 people-so which is it?

    Great location! The house provided plenty of indoor and outdoor space for our family of 10, ranging in age from 1 to 71. We did have to do some quick baby-proofing due to all of the breakables at eye-level. The main kitchen light wasn't working and was too high for us to check the bulb. Some working nightlights would have been helpful for the little ones. Too late check-in and too-early check-out and soooo many (often conflicting) rules. Overall, though, a very nice family weekend stay.

    Not recommended for older adults who need to rise in the night to use the restroom. The master is palatial, bedroom 2 is average-sized, and the loft rooms are tiny, not very private, and the bathroom- shared amongst all 3 of the smaller bedrooms- is a perilous trip down metal spiral stairs. The sink taps need repair or replacement, the fireplace isn’t working, the wooden lawn chairs featured as the cover of the listing were not in evidence, and it’s an 8-minute walk to the trail head leading down to the ocean which is another 8-10 minutes away.

    Overall a good experience. The house is spacious and in good condition. Note that the two upstairs bedrooms are lofts without doors that close so not a lot of privacy. No beach towels but the kitchen had lots of equipment for cooking. There is a table and chairs on the front deck but no umbrella for shade. Check in involved going to the management company’s office in Gualala to pick up the key (and drop it off again at check-out) - seems very unnecessary as the key could have been left in the lockbox next to the front door. Not related to the house, per se, but the restaurant options in Sea Ranch/Gualala are extremely limited and overall, not that great. The high point was Two Fish Bakery in Stewart’s Point - delicious bread, baked goods and sandwiches.
