This house is 5 miles from the Ark and is 40 miles from the Creation Museum. We are only 32 miles from the Greater Cincinnati Airport. We are located right between Cincinnati Ohio and Lexington Kentucky, 2 miles of Interstate 75. There is a large lake located just 6 miles from the house.

Large old house that sits on an acre lot. The farm with House was purchased in 1943 by Cline and Pearl King. At that time they were told the house was 100 years old and with that being said it wouldhave been built pre Civil War era. They named the road Kings Heights an in the 90s the city changed it to Kings Drive.
Over the years the farm land has been divided out. Part for other homes and what farm is left is owned by a private owner not a family member. The house over the years has had renovation inside and out but a lot of the old remains.
Now we are the Great Grandchildren and are giving others a chance to enjoy the old home and occasional beautiful sunrises and or sunsets.

The place was wonderful. Great because in the middle of all attractions. People were hospitable, lovely, kind, and generous. Granny's Cottage was like you were at home. Easy access to the highways & attractions. Anna & Jake are wonderful people. Anna is such a blessing to be around and learn many things about the history of Dry Ridge and Kings Rd. We will be back. Love Y'all

Unsafe, conditions and environment. Made a phone call to property manager to let her know we were having issues with the lock, and she never responded. Was being watched by neighbor across the street as we struggled with the lock the neighbor approached us from across the street and came up onto the porch without introducing herself and said “here, let me help you with the lock. I asked who are you?” and she said oh I’m just the neighbor across the street. I then asked why do you have the code to the house that I’m staying in if you’re not the property manager or not the owner. This is just one item of a litany of things that we are unhappy with. Will not stay here again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Good set up with kitchen and lots of space. An older home, so the floors are level, but it added to the character of the place.

Granny’s was just as the listing described. We were there to visit the Ark and the house was 5 minutes from the attraction.. Beds were comfortable & house was clean. Lawrence also lives in an adjacent property. He greeted us & told us he would be around if we needed anything. Everything was in working condition. Bring along soap and, if you desire, a fan. We would recommend this property!

We really loved the nostalgia of the older home and the manager was super nice. However, there are a few things with the house you may consider changing or correcting for future guest. 1. Beds are the biggest problem. They are pretty bad, especially the single bed. Very uncomfortable. Also, all the beds squeak loud with any slight movement. 2. Floors need to be moped and cleaned. Had to walk around in shoes. Pretty dirty. 4. Only had a few wash towels for showering and one kitchen drying cloth. Could use a few spares. 6. Was confusion on where to leave bedding at checkout. Refrigerator note said to put linens in tubs. Stripped beds but left bedding on the bed as to account for all. 6. Kitchen was very retro but workable. However, may want to address stove top eyes and a few more dishes for prep of food when cooking. 7. Flooring issues going into one bedroom and in front bathroom. Floor areas are very soft. Overall the accommodations were good, but addressing the above issues may need help future guest.

Close to Walmart and fast food places for convenience but also equipped kitchen for meals at home. The location is in a nice quiet area. Great place to unplug and unwind.

It’s definitely a cute house and love the history. But, as soon as you walk in, it smells musty. We later found the wall behind the washer is covered in mold. The living room furniture is dirty. Saw small dead bugs in most of the kitchen drawers. Food that was in the cupboard looked like it had been there for awhile. Beds were so, so but pillows definitely need replaced. There’s no outlets in bathrooms. Just needs a good deep clean and some updates.

There were a couple of places, such as under the furniture, where the floors had not been swept in awhile, but otherwise the kitchen, bathrooms etc. were very clean. My cousin and I were on a road trip on our way to Nashville for a wedding and decided to visit The Ark along the way. Granny's House was in an excellent location both to The Ark and just for a quiet place to relax. Nice, quiet neighborhood. We would have loved to have had more time to just enjoy staying in the house. If we're in the area again, we will definitely hope to stay there again.

My friend and I were pleasantly impressed with this cute “granny’s house” which is still owned by family of Granny King. It is believed to be over 100 years old and the flooring and baseboard are reminiscent of that time period. The rooms are generously sized, the bathrooms are modernized and we were very comfortable. The view from the front of the house is of fields and a barn. It is an easy drive from I-75, maybe 5 minutes and nice to get away from the restaurants and gas stations right off the highway.

We arrived later than planned and Lawrence turned on all the lights for us…much appreciated! When we walked into the house, all 3 of us felt like we were at our Mamaw’s house. We had everything we needed but were given a number to call if we had any problems. I highly recommend this home to stay at if you are ever in the area!!!
