WE loved the old Victorian style home. Spaces to gather in, a large, furnished kitchen with all the comforts of home. Bathrooms were big, clean & furnished with the essentials. Decor was wonderful with the woodwork & stain glass & color scheme. Wi-Fi was available with a large TV. easy locking system. Suggestion: could use a screen back door to keep the flies out when coming in & out. I know it's still being renovated, so next time I'll be excited to see the changes. I didn't need earplugs either.

We loved staying in this house with character! My kids liked that the park was across the street so they could go play when we had a little down time. We spent most of our time in Nauvoo (which wasn’t ideal because the bridge was closed) but the restaurant down the street was delicious and fun. We liked how many bathrooms and bedrooms for all of us to use. The kitchen was big and well stocked with different sizes of bowls, pans, etc and which was nice because we tried to save some money by cooking at the house. It was easy to check in and clean up was a breeze. The parking in the back was nice for our three vehicles and we loved going through the house to see the work that had been done. I really appreciated the laundry room being stocked with some allergen friendly detergent and how close the house was to some grocery stores and restaurants. We are from a place that doesn’t have trains so my kids loved walking down to the bridge to watch the trains go past as well. Overall it was an excellent place to stay and I love all of the cute furnishings! My kids loved going through the house staying only on the rugs, too. They were disappointed the piano had some keys that didn’t play but I didn’t really expect it to. Super fun all around!

A step back in time! Very enjoyable!! Incredibly maintained, well supplied, looks on to a beautiful park and easy parking. The host response is very prompt. Looking forward to a return visit.

Such a beautiful, historic house. We had 7 people and stayed for 3 nights. Quiet neighborhood. There were comfortable beds and pillows, plenty of towels, plus some shampoo and things in the bathrooms. Washer/dryer and detergent. A well stocked kitchen. Two smart TVs. Good wifi. It was great! Our only complaint was from our 11 year old, that she couldn’t get to the top of the tower (in the attic) haha!

It is always a challenge to remodel older homes while trying to offer modern conveniences. This home retained all its Victorian charm while offering a modern kitchen and updated bathrooms. The property was clean. The baby grand piano added a beautiful touch for us although it needs a tuning. The neighborhood is filled with older homes, many in need of serious work. Overall a very nice, charming Victorian!
