Stayed Nov 19, 2025First, the good stuff. The location is about as good as it can get. Maybe 15 feet from the bluff trail, really nice, unobstructed ocean view. We were lucky with great weather. The layout of the house is nice; kitchen is compact and easy to navigate and work in. The adjacent dining room is spacious for six (there were only four of us). The living room is large with a big screen tv (not used). The bedrooms are decently sized with two smallish bathrooms nearby. Now, the not so good. The photos are very flattering, not portraying actual conditions. The house is tired and worn, showing signs of casual neglect. The ocean views, a main feature of the property, is obscured in the dining room by windows which are fogged over between the panes. Many of the window shades are in poor, even inoperable condition. Furniture, while functional, is pretty beat up. Light switches are missing knobs. The divertor lever for the bathroom shower is missing the knob and doesn’t divert even half the water output to the shower head. Interestingly, the kitchen is oddly equipped. There are duplicates of several items, while other items which would be considered standard are missing (what no colander or even strainer, no box grater, tons of serrated knives but not one remotely sharp knife?). The newish kitchen faucet was unintuitive. What you think is hot is cold. What you think is on is off. I think it is a left-handed faucet installed as a right-handed one. We cannot be positive bu
