Gorgeous oceanfront home with private beach access

This home was beautiful and in a great location. We loved it. The kitchen had everything and the home was well furnished. We would love to rent it again. The rental management company was responsive and easy to deal with. The views were spectacular.

We came from Chicago to Charleston in January for some warmth . In the way that weather does, the week turned out to be VERY cold. The bikes we rented went largely un ridden so keep our faces and hands from freezing. In spite of that, we had a wonderful week -- friends visited, the food was delicious and the bundled up walks on the beach were satisfying. When inside, the view of the water from the open living room and kitchen was worth it. For people who love to cook the kitchen had everything. And when we didn't feel like cooking, the grocery is close and we could walk to restaurants.Tarvin Seafood was a short drive away for some of the best shrimp in the area. Minor drawbacks -- nowhere to swim or workout ( no gym/no public indoor pool) . And there was construction at the houses nearby creating a bit of noise.

Loved the house and location. Beautiful view of the ocean and so close to the spa. Has an elevator that goes to the first floor. The turns are a little tight for a wheelchair but it still works. The openness of the inside was wonderful.

Would be better to have the second floor bath made into toilet and sink on both ends with shower in middle so everyone had a bathroom and share the shower. So many parts and pieces in the kitchen that took up all the available cabinetry so had to put our groceries on the counter top. Lovely decorating. Beautiful view. Would be nice to have outside upper porch somewhat covered with an awning or screened in porch. Lower deck was so nice compared to what we usually have. Very nice but will probably choose a rental that is farther down on the beach. Have vacationed for 40 years on IOP so have experienced a lot. People from back east are perfectly fine with crowded beaches because they are used to that.

Overall we were very happy with our stay the property was as described. The house was clean. Main reason we chose this location was for the ocean view which did not disappoint. Easy access to walk to and from the beach with kids. Would stay again. Minor complaints would be most people felt the beds were uncomfortable. I also messaged the property manager multiple times through VRBO app with no response.

We really loved this place. Plenty of room for everyone, nice finishes, comfortably furnished, excellent location, etc. Everything was great, and we will be back!
