Stayed Jul 3, 2025We had a wonderful time at pelican’s hideaway. The views were gorgeous and we loved that it was located on a quieter part of the island. We spent a ton of time on the screened porch. The beach access was close by and not too crowded despite it being a holiday weekend. The only critique I have is that the unit wasn’t as clean as we’re used to with rentals. There was dirt/crumbs in places and we had to wash most of the dishes prior to use. It didn’t ruin our stay by any means, just found it a little surprising and may be worth addressing with the cleaning crew - also the cleaning crew arrived at 9am instead of 10am and were there waiting for nearly an hour as we were packing up. The linens were all fresh, and beds were comfortable. The house does get warm during the day but it is an older house with lots of windows so that’s to be expected. Things cooled down nicely in the evening so we were able to sleep comfortably. We would absolutely stay here again.

Stayed Jul 7, 2025We had a wonderful stay at this property! It was perfect for our family of 4 - our teenage kids each had their own bedroom, and also plenty of common space for all of us! The kitchen was well stocked. We loved having our coffee on the screened in porch in the mornings and a cocktail at the fire pit in the evenings. The house is a quick 5 minute walk to the beach, and .9 miles (20 minute) walk to center street with restaurants. We loved the walk, but if you don’t want to walk, rent a golf cart! The house was also a great base for day excursions into Charleston. We felt the listing was very accurate. Loved our stay!

Stayed May 6, 2022We loved our stay and were impressed at the beauty of the house and the location. The kitchen was very well stocked. Only negative would be trying to communicate with the property manager prior to our stay. I was never able to speak to someone, and was on hold for hours before giving up several times. Once it was time for our stay, the property management company was very easy to communicate with.
