Amazing home in a perfect location! It truly feels like a Costa Rican tree house! The property was pristine and clean. The outside deck was also clean and cushions look like they were brand new. Kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. The large dining table was great to have for game night and dinners. This was definitely one of the best VRBOs we have stayed in and that is saying a lot since we travel often. The communication with our host was a 10/10 with arrivals instructions and her periodically checking in to make sure we were comfortable and all was well. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Austin in the future!

This is a beautiful and comfortable home!! It accommodated our group of 6 perfectly with plenty of space to hang out and comfortable sleeping arrangements for 6 adult women. The location was great! I loved running along the trails towards downtown each morning. Plus it was a quick uber to S Congress and 6th. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Our stay at the Glass Treehouse was absolutely dreamy. It's a 5-star setting in a 5-star location. Sitting in the main room with our party of 8, the space felt so airy and spacious. We spent lots of time together in the living room, surrounded by the windows looking out onto the huge outdoor deck space. We also enjoyed cooking in the adjoining kitchen, which had absolutely everything we needed, and gathering around the big family-style dining table.Each couple's room was comfortable and private, and the skylights throughout gave each of these spaces a feeling of luxury.We LOVED the location of this property, and enjoyed that we could just walk out the door and down the hill to find all sorts of adventures. We walked to nearby restaurants, explored the trails all along Barton Creek, grabbed food at multiple foods trucks, and toured the nearby botanical garden. The host, Lisa, was exceptional. She was so kind and conscientious, wanting everything to be perfect for our group. We loved her so much that we even asked her to stop by during our stay so that we could meet her in person!!

This rental is extremely well appointed. It has all of the conveniences needed for your stay. The deck area is outstanding. The furniture is beautiful as well as comfortable in form and function. The decor is tasteful yet quirky in true Austin style. Super easy access to the Austin Light Show at the holidays. A 5 minute walk to Barton Springs pool for a quick plunge. You will love it!

I cannot tell you how amazing the stay was!! It was for my birthday and my children flew in. Not only was the home equipped beyond what I have ever seen before. Organized, anything you needed for cooking or preparing or relaxing, It was there.Lisa the owner checked in the first day to see if we needed or were missing anything- How Great is That!In addition, Lisa has a relationship with a Chef who we hired to come in and make a birthday meal for us. Food was great and Mike was fabulous.The location is ideal for access to outdoor activities, food, entertainment. It was an incredible stay.Staying at VRBO's for last 10 years, The Glass Treehouse and Lisa have surpassed the 5 star and really are a 10. I will honestly have to realign my ever giving a 5 to another VRBO unless it is up to the standard of this rental.We would book here again and again if in Austin.Thank You Lisa!

We had an incredible stay here. The property is beautiful and clean and the outdoor area is so nice and relaxing. I had a college reunion with 7 girls and we stayed here very comfortably. The location is incredible, just a short walk to Barton springs and the trail. Host is very attentive and nice. There are sky lights in most of the rooms including bedrooms so if you’re wanting to sleep in I would bring a sleep mask.

My friends and I just returned from a girls weekend in Austin and this house was a great jumping off point for all of our activities. Really close to everything we wanted to see and such a great spot to head out on morning walks with the park right there. Lots of rooms so everyone had their own space. It was a very cheerful house!

I stayed at this great property with my family for a long weekend. I have a 3 year old that stayed in the room connected to the master, which worked very well. I was also able to fit my 6 month old’s crib in the master closet. It was great!

We loved everything about this house. Every room is beautiful decorated with lots of windows and skylights. The outdoor area was equally amazing. We loved being able to walk to a number of places and having a short drive to endless restaurants and hot spots in Austin. Lisa was extremely responsive and provided many great recommendations. 5 stars!

My family and I spent the weekend in Austin and stayed at Lisa’s lovely home. Its so beautifully decorated, spacious, cozy and had everything we needed. Lisa was an incredible host with great communication.

Impressive from the time you walk through the doors! Stop for a minute and admire Lisa’s beautiful carpentry and creativity. Everything is perfectly and intentionally placed for harmony and function. The rooms are comfortable and well thought out. Lisa is a fabulous host and made sure we were comfortable and had everything you need. Just in case anyone is in a wheelchair, we were able to bring my Mother in law over and had no problems with her thin wheelchair getting around. A wonderful spot!! Such a fantastic house with so many cute and unique touches - we had the best time sitting in the cozy living room drinking coffee or wine and catching up. House had everything we could need and was incredibly clean. Lots of space and comfy beds. Within walking distance or a short drive to so many restaurants. And a great walking/hiking path just across the street. I can’t recommend enough!!

We were disappointed with this vacation rental apartment. While the location and deck space were appealing, the overall experience fell short of expectations. I have been a vacation rental host for 10 years and speak from experience. The listing was misleading: We believed we were booking a single-family home, not an apartment in a duplex. This was a major factor in our decision. The late-night arrival of other guests confirmed this was not a private residence. The listing also falsely advertises a pool.While the apartment does have 5 rooms with beds in them, most would consider only 2 of them to be traditional bedrooms. Of the other bedrooms, two are very small, and the final room is really the TV / entertainment room. There is only space for 2 cars to park. Price to quality poor: while the owner prices based on location and season, for the price we paid (thousand / night), the quality is poor. The linens are worn, the closets lacked hangers, there were no bathmats, the teapot was broken, many doors did not close properly, and the master bathroom toilet is malfunctioning. Excessive pet fee: We had a non-shedding dog in the house for 2 nights and the owner charged us a hefty pet fee outside the norm I have experienced at other rentals. Maintenance items stored in living space: the master closet had paint cans stored in it and we could smell the fumes. Crowded with bric-a-brac: this is an aesthetic opinion, but we found the house cluttered with “decorations”.

This place and our experience was a solid 10. Lisa is an amazing host, the place was immaculate and just as described on an absolutely awesome location. We were looking for a homey place to gather with family and the Glass Treehouse was just perfect!

This place is incredible… even better than photos! 5 bedroom single level with 4 full baths! Close to everything… home is so well stocked for all your needs… best VRBO we have experienced… great gathering area with views from most everywhere. Superb host… truly nothing was missing… loved it!

We gathered at this home with family from all corners of the US. The accommodations were outstanding, just as beautiful as the lovely photos, and Lisa thought of everything we might need. The location was perfect, just adjacent to Zen Zilker Park with a ten mile hike and bike trail and walkable to canoe, kayak and bike rentals. We were also quite close to lots of great food trucks, restaurants and museums. We really enjoyed our visit and highly recommend the spacious and beautiful Glass Treehouse!

I can’t say more wonderful things about this amazing rental and our time in Austin. We had a group of 7 women (besties from college) traveling from all over the US to reunite for a fun girls weekend. We love to shop, be active, eat good food and listen to live music - making Austin an excellent destination. When we saw this rental on VRBO, we knew it would be perfect. Not only is the decor so incredibly unique, I honestly don’t know if there’s a better rental location in Austin. We were a quick walk to the amazing Barton Springs and Zilker Park. You can even follow an easy walking path into downtown. SoCo shopping and restaurants are a quick car ride away (maybe 5-10 min) as are downtown attractions. Really anywhere you want to go is no more than a 5-10 min ride. The host provided a detailed and thoughtful information packet upon booking to help us get a lay of the land (i.e. restaurants, activities, etc nearby). She allowed for an early check-in for a minimal fee and she was so attentive with her communication. We had some fun hats made for our trip and she let us ship them to her and then she personally delivered them to the rental to ensure we received them. Top notch service! We had a truly memorable weekend whether exploring around town or lounging on the awesome porch. You will not regret booking this rental.

I rented this VRBO for my Operations Team to have our yearly meeting. The home was spacious, plenty of beds, lots of bathrooms, a great outdoor space, and relaxing environment. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a great home away from home.

The host was responsive. The space is the upper level of a duplex. Views amazing. Loved the option for indoor or outdoor meeting space. Private. Well appointed. Light and airy environment. Couple things to note: the park across the street has an entrance fee which we weren’t expecting. Additionally, we expected to walk to the local restaurants but there were not paved sidewalks leading from the house.

Such a beautiful and inviting home! Ample space for our family with gorgeous sky lights throughout and a fun rustic modern vibe. The location is walking distance to Barton Springs pool for swimming and Zilker Park for hiking along the trails. We had an amazing time and will definitely be returning soon!

Firstly, I cannot say enough about the location. It’s close to everything, but still off the beaten path. The Owner was attentive and easy to get ahold of for anything. The house was clean and beautiful and they paid attention to the smallest details to ensure our stay was amazing ! Definitely add this to your list of “where I have to stay”!!
