Gasthof Fretz--Your Bavarian Hideaway !

Very quaint little village with some dining and shopping within this unique spot. Plus the town of Adamstown is filled with antiques galore. Ahmish country is just a 20 minute drive (if you can do it without stopping a t a roadside stand). So this was a perfect base for what we wanted to do. We had a great time in the evening sitting around in this great home talking about our day. Something we wouldn’t have been able to do as comfortably had we stayed in a hotel.

I booked this beautiful condo because of it’s unique location in an authentic German village! It’s like a mini trip to Europe, complete with some charming shops. The condo did not disappoint- it’s super clean, comfortable with all the amenities that you might need. We loved the whimsical decor and the view from the living room of the gorgeous plaza. James and Olena were fabulous hosts answering all of my questions. I highly recommend this property! So fun!

Lovely area! The house was very clean and it has a good amount of room. Two car garage was a big plus. It’s a quite calm neighborhood/village. The host was very nice as well. As far as area, lots of farm land. Don’t expect to get ride share drivers. So plan accordingly!

We loved our stay! The hosts take pride in their home and ensure visits are enjoyable. I appreciated the quiet environment and the picturesque architecture. The home is located within 1.5 hours of other PA attractions we completed in shorter day trips.

Comfortable accommodations in a fun and unique location.

The house was easy to find and we were grateful for the garage parking because we had some cooler days during our trip. The house is beautiful! Everything was spotless. We made breakfast every morning and had all the kitchen items that we needed. We had plenty of bathroom linens. The washer and dryer worked well. The beds were comfortable. Our grandkids loved standing out on the balcony. We were disappointed that the village shops only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday so we weren't able to visit them. But, honestly, there is so much to do in the area that we may not have had time! It was a great home base from which to visit Hershey, to shop and take a buggy ride in Intercourse and to see Joshua at the Sight & Sound theatre. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything was perfect! Such a quiet place to relax and enjoy the town. Everything was clean and organized. Lots of amenities to make you fell right at home. The village tavern was awesome restaurant and all the store owners are so friendly. Highly recommended!!

We stayed at the Gasthof-Fretz house for a long weekend, what a great house. The house was easy to find and the host was easy to communicate with. The house has a European vibe and very comfortable. There was a cute restaurant within walking distance and a brewery with good food down the road. We really enjoyed our stay.

Picturesque! Who needs Deutschland when you have the Pena-Dutch? The host is a great communicator and thinks of everything. Great bedding, facilities and space. Close to several shopping and main thoroughfares. The perfect place for spending Christmas.

Great location for wedding at Iron Spire.

Wow, what a fantastic home! THIS property is the perfect example of how good a vacation rental has the potential to be. Jim and his wife have set one of the highest bars for the perfect stay that I’ve experienced, and I’ve been staying in rentals (instead of hotels) for the past fifteen years.The home is spotless. It is clean, bright, smells great, and there were no dirty corners. The bedsheets were clean (no stains) and the bathrooms were also clean and well-kept. The entire home is decorated with charming Teutonic touches. and the best part was the GARAGE. Car lovers pay attention- if you’re in this area and need a property with a nice garage space, THIS IS IT.The entire development is clean, quiet, and safe. It is clearly loved by the people who live there and the charm of the courtyard is wonderful. I was there on a work trip, but I would go out of my way to stay there again, even if it meant a longer drive. Truly a 5-star property and one of the best rental experiences I’ve ever had.

The floor plan is an easy flow. Bathrooms very clean.Remember to bring your Netflix,Hulu etc. Passwords.

This home was spotless and beautiful. It is located in a quiet village community, making it very relaxing and peaceful. The amenites were great and the host let us know he was available if we needed thing. We got in a little later than we planned on the day of our arrival and he even messaged us to see if we got in okay!! The Park Diner Place restaurant just up the road had great food and service! The servings were huge.The location of this home was away from the hustle and bustle of more populated areas, but only 25-30 minutes away from tourist areas like Kitchen Kettle Village and Sight and Sound. We will definitely try to stay here the next time we visit.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Was very quiet during the day and at night. It was a very pleasant surprise to find that the unit included dish soap, body wash, qtips, etc. Basically everything needed was there. Warning though, the garage is not for a full sized truck but our minivan did just fit inside.

Gasthof Fretz is a charming place. The property was spacious and majestic. My family enjoy spending time together playing board games. We enjoyed walking around the beautiful plaza. We will come back soon.

We enjoyed our getaway to this unique village in Reinholds. Weather didn’t cooperate but we still had a great time!

We sent my parents to Gasthof-Fretz for a lil weekend getaway and when asked about the home my father had one word to say- “flawless”High praise indeed!

Book the place! This place is so aesthetically pleasing. I stayed here the night before my wedding and the night of, and we are so happy we booked this place. The hosts are very communicative and so nice. We will be back!

Spent the weekend went to Dutch Apple with the Family

The location is awesome. We enjoyed our stay immensely. There was lots of room for two couples and house was beautiful. We loved all the small shops and the pub across the street. We are definitely coming back next fall.

Just a beautiful place to relax! Close enough to things to do but far enough way to relax!!!! Sexond time staying here and won't be the last for sure!! Owners are awesome to make sure you stay is great!! Highly recommend!!!

The weather was cloudy and rainy during our stay. But we still enjoyed walks during the dry spells.

Once again our stay could not be beat. The place is immaculate, comfy, and the location is spot on for antiquing. We love listening to the fountain and the entertainment at the restaurant which is directly across from Gasthof Fretz. The owner is wonderful and so easy to communicate with. This is the only place to stay when pin Adamstown.

This property has it all! It’s in a great location, it’s a beautiful place, and the hosts are very friendly! I would recommend this property to anyone!
