The Phillips House was built in 1872 and is listed on the Port Townsend Historic Register. The 2,500 sq ft home has been completely renovated, including a new kitchen. There is a master bedroom and bath downstairs and two bedrooms and a bath with a soaking tub upstairs. There is plenty of room for entertaining in the formal dining room and views from the sitting room allow guests to see the sun rise over Mount Rainier and the Cascade Mountains. The sitting room also looks over the Port Townsend waterfront. The library, with television, can double as an extra bedroom.
Enjoy coffee on the deck or use the barbeque for outdoor dining. The summers are gorgeous in Port Townsend.
The house is ideally located in uptown Port Townsend, 2 blocks from the local bakery, grocery store and farmer’s market as well as great restaurants and the historic Uptown Theater. Downtown is a mere 3 blocks and a set of steps to the Haller Fountain – the gathering place on the Port Townsend waterfront. The Rose Theater, numerous art galleries, boutiques, cafes and fine restaurants, the marina and the center of many festivals are minutes away – by foot.

We fell in love with this house the moment we walked in. It has charming character, and was decorated to feel welcoming, cozy, and like a home-away-from-home. The house and kitchen supplies were well-stocked, and the house was spotless upon arrival. We really didn't use the upstairs bedrooms, but they were charming as well. But look, here's the best parts of this rental: it is in SUCH a terrific location, for exploring downtown, going to the farmer's market and Pane d'Amore bakery, shopping at the co-op and Aldrich's, and for just walking the uptown beautiful neighborhoods. We also enjoyed walking to Chetzemoka Park, Salish Grill/Point Hudson Cafe, and walking along the marina and the Point Hudson beach, even though they are just a little longer walks. And don't miss going to the Forts: Worden, Townsend, and Flagler. This also served as a great home base for day trips to Cape Flattery, Sol Duc, Lake Crescent, Olympic Nat'l Park, Whidbey Island, the tulip festival in Mt Vernon, and Bainbridge Island. But there are two cherries on top of this wonderful 'sundae:' the owners, who were such a pleasure to work with, and the VIEW from the living room and Polk St. porch. We spent hours just enjoying the peaceful view of sailboats, military vessels, other unique marine craft, and the regular comings & goings of the ferry. Within a few days, we had already booked our next visit! We can't recommed this place highly enough, & we can't wait to get back to our little house on Jefferson!

We love the view of the ferry landing and departing and the birds soaring over the shoreline. The house has everything you'd need for a homey stay. It's so close to so many things that we just park our car and walk everywhere. This is our second stay. I hope we will have a chance to visit again.

The location was perfect for us and visiting family. The hosts were super responsive and easy to communicate with them. The house was spotless when I arrived and the layout was great for us. The view from the living room was amazing and I spent many hours reading and watching the water. My work is dependent on a good WiFi connection and I had zero issues. It was really sad to have to leave.

Must reiterate - couldn't be a more pleasant & convenient location...even w/out a vehicle. Safe/quiet neighborhood, too. Lovely/peaceful views from all over the house. Deer, squirrels, birds... Hosts are great. House is comfortable - with charming decor items. Salish photographs in dining room are very compelling. Memorable in every sense.

...would be delightful for an entire vacationing family. Comfortable environment, entrancing architectural features, stunning views, could not be a more walkable location, very personable/responsive hosts, notably reasonable cost for a vacation rental. For me, the extended stay arrangement has been ideal. Memorable!

This was the perfect stay! We adore Port Townsend and the house was beautiful and charming with plenty of space and an amazing view! It was stocked with everything we could have wanted. The neighborhood was perfectly located to walk everywhere and the neighbors are friendly and helpful. We loved sitting on the back porch with our coffee, looking at the water and watching the deer every morning. The living room was really bright and welcoming with a contemporary but vintage vibe. We could walk to the weekly market and both the shops and restaurants of uptown and downtown. We hope to return soon!
