“Retreat at Rhyll” is a delightful double-storey family and pet-friendly home in Rhyll just a comfortable walk from the beach and short drive to the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs is a large Living Room (with 65 smart TV, Foxtel box, Fuzbol table & coonara-style wood heater) featuring a fantastic bar area, that flows out to the side Patio. Also off this room are Bedroom 4 (with BIR) and a Bathroom (with shower, toilet & a 2nd full sized fridge/freezer). Upstairs is the open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with 51 smart TV, Foxtel Box, Sony soundbar, DVD player, selection of movies, a dartboard & a coonara-style wood heater) that provides access to the upstairs Deck and leads to Bedroom 1 (with TV), Bedrooms 2 & 3 (each with BIR), a Laundry (with washing machine) and a Bathroom (with shower) and a separate Toilet.

Outdoor Areas

The upstairs partially covered wrap-around Deck (with rear covered seating area with table & 2 benches for 8 people, 2 wall mounted electric heaters & 1 stand-alone gas heater) is a delightful place to relax with family & friends. The Downstairs side fully covered Patio (with built -in gas BBQ plus a second gas BBQ) steps out to the enclosed side and rear yard which is perfect for children and pets. There is parking for 2 cars in the driveway behind the secure Carport door, plus another vehicle (car and/or a boat) in the driveway which also features a Basketball Ring (the Garage is not accessible to guests).

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, rice cooker, sandwich press, Kambrook vitamiser, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and induction cook top. There is also a 2nd full sized fridge/freezer in the downstairs Bathroom.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The home has two wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners; one in the upstairs Kitchen/Dining/Living room and another in the downstairs Living Room, there are ceiling fans in Bedrooms 1, 2 and 4, plus 4 additional stand-alone heaters which can be used where required. The downstairs Living Room has a Coonara-style wood heater (some wood provided to get you started).

Bedding Configuration

This home has 6 beds, accommodating up to 8 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One set of Single bunks
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): Two Single beds
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One Queen bed

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
