Stayed Oct 6, 2025This is a beautiful and comfortable home. It couldn't have been better. Communication was great. We loved the location, close to town, yet nestled in the mountains. On the way back to the VRBO one day, we got to watch a momma black bear and her 3 cubs for about 10 minutes(from the car). Thank you for our wonderful accommodation.

Stayed Sep 10, 2024Had a wonderful stay at this cute home with spectacular views just outside of Highlands. It was clean and cozy and had everything you need. It is tucked away in a very cute, hillside neighborhood, great for walking. Close to hiking trails and downtown Highland. We would stay here again for sure.

Stayed Jul 27, 2024We spent 10 days in The Hermitage and hated to leave. This home is close enough to town yet is nestled in the mountains with a fabulous view. It’s a quick drive into town on winding roads that require caution. We loved sitting on the large, comfortable screened back porch as the sun rose looking out over the misty valley and mountains. We filled the bird feeder and watched a wide variety of birds come to visit. The house had everything we needed and was comfortable. The portable AC units are loud but luckily we didn’t need them. It’s a great neighborhood for walking, too. We will be back!
